And now I have beaten Alpha Protocol :P
It's kind of like Vampire: Bloodlines, being a heavily character-driven action RPG with highly optional stealth. The gameplay is also very reminiscent of the second Mass Effect. Very buggy, but I feel kind of down, having completed the story & left wanting more, which is pretty much how every game with a compelling plot and character interaction leaves me at the end.
I'm looking forward to Wasteland 2 and Pillars of Eternity getting out of beta sometime this year. Combined with Witcher 3, Watch Dogs and the new Divinity game it's looking like a good year for character-driven Western RPGS

I should add that, if you play your cards correctly, Alpha Protocol has what may be the greatest boss fight of all time, wherein you play a drugged-up madman in a wild shoot-out with a drugged-up psychopathic mob boss who gets superpowers from snorting tainted cocaine supplied by a third drugged-up lunatic, on an exploding disco stage while Autograph's " Turn up the Radio" blasts in the background.

I was enjoying my first game of Medieval II, courtesy of the Sega Humble Bundle, when my kingdom's heir decided to randomly become a "brigand" at the worst possible time, turning his huge, critically important army of top-of-the-line reinforcements into the Total War equivalent of barbarians right in the incredibly vulnerable heart of my empire. I cannot think of any mechanic more aggravating in a 4X game than random events which trash a campaign the player has invested hours in. On the plus side, uninstalling the game from my HD was pretty cathartic

Yeah, the AI is pretty wacky. You definitely should get Stainless Steel if you want to actually play the stupid game. After all this was a game which was released with a bug that subtracted shield values from armor...
That being said, it does have a rather amazing set of mods in no particular order.
1) Stainless Steel - Fixes enough of the AI where diplo and fun are possible. It also adds a ton of new recruitment mechanics and some EU/CK type mechanics
2) Broken Crescent - Much the same but with a much more historically accurate Islam-centric Crusades campaign
3 )Third Age Total War - Because its better than any other Middle Earth/LotR RTS ever. I think its probably the best mod for MIITW. It has a Ring Bearer campaign and probably will eventually have a Hobbit campaign.

4) EBII - Rome Era, unreleased but probably will be the most historically accurate game for this period. Today, EB1 still makes RIITW look retarded in that regard.

I played it, and have made a thread about it in this forum, though I have forgotten how to link things. I like the game at the moment, but am not that good at strategy games so my opinion is not that valid.
Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!

Anyone here play much TF2? I used to be pretty into the game, dropped out for few years after they started adding in tons of random community-made crap, but recently picked it up again. I'm not particularly good with any class save Medic (where I'm merely mediocre), but I'd be totally up for playing some casual matches on the weekends. I'm Jack_Armstrong on Steam.
