Maybe after he gets back from his vacation? I heard him say the championship had to be this week for that reason.

I was wondering if an Industrial start with appropriate "Great Power" civs / leaders (Bismark, Vicky, Lincoln come to mind immediately, and you Could probably throw France, Russia and Japan in there) might be fun. I was thinking it might give some unusual leaders a chance to shine. but then the first round games of this season happened crazyeye .

Fun conclusion to the season! Perhaps lacked a bit of that late drama or a really good performance by any single leader that would've made for a better finale, but still enjoyable nonetheless. If nothing else, the underwhelming performances by this stacked field of leaders should serve as a reminder to us that even the best Civ 4 AIs are still significantly flawed!

The Civ4 AI often seems absolutely determined to avoid victory, doesn't it? rolleye

Any link to the final standings for the picking contest? The most recent one I see leads to the state of the contest just before the championship concludes.

The first alternate history from Season Six is ready with a look at Game One. The big winner on this map wasn't Caesar/Gandhi as predicted or the Frederick/Sitting Bull result that we watched. It was Pericles! Apologies to anyone who sniffed this out in the picking contest and then wound up getting unlucky thanks to a random barbarian city snipe. rant

Thanks for posting the game one alternate history, Sullla. Seeing it go in such a different direction than what we saw in the streamed game is very interesting. And seeing that I was not completely wrong about my predictions (or at least not unreasonable about them) is always nice. lol

We have our second alternate history ready featuring the results from Game Two. This one ended up going in a completely different direction from what we watched on the Livestream: Pacal a total fraud! Napoleon and Louis dominant! Huayna Capac struggling! This should be a fun read. lol

Thanks again for running and posting these alternate histories, Sullla! thumbsup This was a wild one...or rather, the game we saw was the wild one. What a difference a couple small things made -- Louis losing that city to the barbs, Napoleon deciding to go south for his first war rather than east or west. crazyeye
