So looks like we're back up and running. I probably won't have time for pics until next week now that a few things have come up.

Played T25AD today and I finally spotted my first Babylonian Catapult. This might not be good if he is headed towards me as I fear. I'll be leaving a couple units around him for now to continue to scout.

Archery is now in, I've killed the barb galley but not after it pillaged my other workboat at halifax. I'll build a couple WB's out of Halifax before more galleys. Galley completed at Charlottetown, Spear started in Montreal.

T117 - 50AD has been played as of late last night.

I spotted my first HA in a border city with Babylon...His big one that built The Hanging Gardens...It borders Fredricton. This makes me very uneasy. Between now and EOT 118 I believe I have several Spears completing and it's just a matter of time to get them there. The more time it takes Babylon to get ready the less threat he'll be to me. Once my spears are done Archers will be started in every city. Then a round of catapults. Around that same time I should be able to bulb Machinery. So...if I can make it until T125 or so...I think I should be safe. I haven't seen anything in Byzantine land that makes me nervous so I don't think I will face a 2-pronged attack.

I 2-pop whipped the Library in Ottawa this turn as T118 I will be turning research on full blast. T119 I will have to lower to about 50% - 60% but it should be more than enough to get Construction at EOT 119. On T118 I will be building walls in Ottawa. I think it will take a total of 4 turns. In that same time Fredricton's borders will expand again that should take the cultural defences up from 40% to 60% correct? Can anybody confirm that? Still walls might be nice here as it will slow any bombarding.

I believe I'll be able to get some pics up tonight so should make it more fun than simply reading this!

So, I don't believe I'll be getting another turn tonight so here's some pics from T117 - 50AD.

T117 - Charlottetown:

As you can see, it has just grown to size 14 and unhappiness as it completed a spear. I have the option of accepting a 10 turn deal where I give Seven gems and get incense in return, or wait 4 turns and get a dye hooked up. What would you lurkers do? Take the deal? Wait? Try and whip it away via something? I'm looking for a few suggestions please.

T117 - Fredricton:

As you can see, I've maxed out my land here for now. This city probably won't be seeing a worker around here for a while. After the temple I'll hire a priest and then probably lose the engineer and hire 2x Scientists and hope for a GP or GS as my 2nd GP. I'd eventually hire the GE back if it grew in time to get him. After the temple I'll probably put it on missionary duty I think. I might have to spit an Archer or 2 out first though.

T117 - Halifax:

I'll have one of the clams hooked up next turn and the other on T120 I think. As you can see I'll have my GE (hopefully...small chance for a GP which right here would really suck!) and should have machinery shortly there after. After workboats Halifax will continue on Galley's and Triremes. Time to get a nave together. T-Hawk (or somebody) can you please link/tell me how I can calculate how many beakers a GE (or any type of great person really) will give me when bulbing? Many thanks in advance!

T117 - Montreal:

After this spear completes it will pause for a settler After that to be honest I'm not sure. I'll probably end up slow building some catapults out of here.

T117 - Niagara Falls:

I have just completed a spear here. Now it will start a Settler. I think this will be the future home of my Heroic Epic. After the Settler it will probably pump a few catapults and then Beserkers.

T117 - Ottawa:

I've just whipped my Library. I will grow in 2 and work that second Gems at size 3. I'll start walls here just in case which I should have by EOT 121 I think.

T117 - Quebec City:

I've interrupted my forge to chop a worker out. Best thing I could think of doing until I get a farm going here.

T117 - St. John's:

I like this city. I probably should have gotten to it sooner. Oh well .
Horses will be pasturized next and then a mine and then chop/cottaging the other tiles.

T118 - Demographics:


As you can see I'm making some serious headway here. Power is on the rise, construction due next turn. I'm looking OK. Especially since those HA's started wandering down towards Byzantine lands.

I decided to accept the gems/incense deal with Seven for the minimum 10 turns. I also started a temple in Charlottetown and am chopping a settler out of Niagara Falls which will complete next turn.

But as far as I see from your Screenshots you have only 1 city that profits now from the deal. Your others have all 3-4 pop space to grow. SS on the other hand is not only the scoreleader but (if I see the pink/purple shades right ) also the one with the best Crop-yield (with a huge lead to boot) so I asume that he benefits far more from the deal than you

I think it gets visited more often (afterall even Romes thread which exits only since Ruff took over has already more than 400 views) but the lack of updates in the other threads makes it hard to comment much.

T119 - 100AD played last night.

When I first opened the save this is what I got:

Now I paid the gold, as I just don't have the worker manpower to lose that road.

Before I hit end turn I took some screenshots so here's my view of the Babylonian Empire:


Prior to playing I had a quick chat with TRD and he's sticking to his story about heading after Nakor. He said he threw Seven in there to screw me up. He's got nothing in the works with Ruff, though he knows the NAP between Nakor and Ruff just ended so he's hoping Nakor is going to send units down to the south to help keep Ruff from attacking. Here's to that happening and Babylon declaring on Byzantine
