Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

Turns out it was before that - May 2002! I went back and checked and found that I actually played with Sulla back then! From Lee's page:

LK25 - Babylon, Emperor
The game ended in 1465 AD with a win by domination.
Whole game players - LKendter, Gotag, Sullla, Meldor, Jersey Joe, Jbob42

(me = Jbob42)

Hello!

I've been lurking here for some time and finally figured that I should sign up.

Does anyone know how to add smileys in my posts?
More people have been to Berlin than I have.

Welcome to the Realms! You can add smileys if you click the "go advanced" button on the quick post. If you click the "quote" button to reply, they show up the same way. There's lots, including some fun ones, if you click more:

diablo

Once you remember what the smiley codes are, you can just type them in manually.

What have you been lurking lately?

Mainly some PB7 threads and some old Adventure reports. Glad they finally got a new one up!

Started lurking here somewhat recently after a long time following Sulla's site. Seeing multiplayer games in action live has been pretty exciting, so I decided to register here.

Probably won't post too much and I'm not by any stretch a super-skilled Civ player, but I hope I have a fun time here nonetheless!

I'm a long-time fan of the Civ series, but I've never ventured out into multiplayer. I found this forum by accident about a week ago (wouldn't exactly call it a misclick though jive). Hopefully I can hook up a PBEM position soon, in the meantime I went looking for the famous "Epics and Adventures" which I see commented upon frequently throughout the threads I have explored so far. My pack is ready, my horse is saddled (i.e. my snacks are handy and my pc's running smooth) ... trouble is, I can't seem to find a subforum/thread/whatever-you-call-it that explains how to embark upon these Epics and Adventures. Would someone mind pointing me in correct direction?

http://realmsbeyond.net/civ/ is the place to look that I suspect you didn't know of. Note that it goes back quite a ways including into past patch versions.

Figured I'd post in here for my first post. I've been an occasional lurker for almost a year now, and I guess I finally decided to stop being lazy and register.

I had no experience with the Civilization series at all, until on a whim, I grabbed the Civ IV Complete Collection for twenty dollars about a year ago. Let's just say it was one of my best impulsive purchases in quite some time. jive

Trying Civ V has been a major downer bang, so I think I'll be back to playing Civ IV on a more consistent basis.
