I forgot to upload the turn, I think. I played in a hurry before heading off on other errands, didn't notice. I'm off work in a few minutes and I'll get in today's turn around 5ish (my time).
Then it's off to Yeosu for the weekend, again (I didn't anticipate an out-of-town relationship developing so soon).

That's a nice reason to be the weekend without computer
I will be in the Netherlands myself this weekend, I just played my turn and have my convertible with me, I do not expect any difficulties downloading the save but if you hear nothing from me then youc an expect me on Sunday evening.

My bad, miscommunication between myself and the Archduke. I thought I handed off to him for the weekend, but I failed to.
Thanks for your patience, everyone. My official Leaving Korea date is August 15. I'll have a hectic few weeks in August, but by September my schedule will be normal and reliable. I appreciate y'all bearing with me.

I had an emergency come up after work* and missed my window tonight - only just made it to a computer.
If Archduke can play the turn, fantastic, otherwise I will get to it in about 19 hours. Sorry for the inconvenience, everyone. 1 more month of Korea and then my flexibility will shoot way up and turn times will come down.

Hey gang. There was a bug report for the July 2020 patch that showed up on CivFanatics last night:
https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/1...ug.660973/
It looks like all faith purchasing of units on saves created before the latest patch is broken - Monumentality, Valletta, Grand Master's Chapel, etc. One poster reported that God King was also not awarding the +1 per turn, either.

I just did some testing on an old Russian SP game where I had a few different saves around the time a golden age started. One save where I was already in Monumentality, I did NOT have the option to buy civilian units. However, if I load the save for the turn before the Golden Age started, if I select Monumentality as my dedication, I CAN by civilian units. Looks like this bug only applies to faith buying stuff already available in the save and not the future options to faith buy stuff (at least with Monumentality). Not sure yet about the Grand Master's Chapel yet, I will continue to test and get back to you all.

Also, looks like Firaxis gave the code to open up the legacy versions of the game so people can continue current games
For the CivFanatics thread suboptimal linked above:
Quote:Hey everybody, thank you for this report! This issue appears to affect only saves or in-progress games started before the update, and Faith purchasing works properly in new games. We're sorry for the inconvenience, and appreciate your patience.
We do have a way for you to continue your in-progress games from before the update. If you wish to do this, right click on Sid Meier's Civilization VI in your Steam library, then select Properties. In the window that appears, navigate to the Betas tab and enter the code ineedlegacyaccess into the text box. This will unlock a Legacy beta branch, which you can then select from the dropdown. You are able to finish your games there. Make sure to turn this beta branch off when starting a new game!
This is one option if we need it.
