I could also be convinced to go settler --> settler (whip) --> overflow into Oracle (instead of granary). If you can make that work and expand and get granaries in our other cities at the same time. The granary is not as crucial in our capital as it has (right now) more food than we can support. [edit: but in city 2, 3, and the following the granary is super important]
I think that would be my dream scenario.
edit: if we chop the forest 1E of the marble this could work, no? If it requires both workers to stay there then I can be convinced. But possibly it's enough to chop with one and a 2nd worker returns later just to road?

You mean chop 1E of marble into granary then hook up marble and road with one worker? let's see that's 1+3+6+2 ie 12 worker turns. iirc a settler takes 7t in capital (16hpt), maybe 6 depending of overflow. So it may work if we switch to Oracle a couple of turns before whipping the 2nd settler. This way we can have the overflow and the chop (the one I started this turn in capital) into Oracle powered by marble in Capital.
May sim this this evening then since it looks very nice! I will get divorced but whatever (back in couple of hours. kids need to eat then sleep... hopefully)

That's too slow, we'll need both workers. We don't want to delay this settler.
My condolences for your loss.

The cost is delayed granary in rice/corn. Maybe hook up rice, chop, one pop whip there then.

I'm OK with size 2 granary in Rice if it means early settler whip into Marble Oracle in capital. Farm-chop-whip sounds good. The city doesn't have a 2nd power tile until border pop anyway, so the 2-1 whip is perfectly acceptable.
edit: 2 workers near marble city might be able to emergency chop an archer too if we need it.

^^ OK went with the 2 workers around DoW, one worker in rice/corn (we need a name here, I was thinking The Fountain, but meh).
TBW is settling cow/silver next turn:
We will settle our own 3rd city the same turn though:
Worker in place to farm the rice next turn.
The worker pair around DoW will chop then hook up marble. (the city will do one turn of gra, then one turn of axe, then completes the gra, then resume the axeman)
Capital has started its 3rd settler (with TBW agressive settling, clam/sheep is definitely next)
Demos:
We are doing OK right now.

That's good news.
You didn't mention it in the report I think, but looking at PBspy I presume superdeath founded Hinduism. I think they're the ones I suggested as main competition for the Oracle, so every turn counts. How many turns does priesthood take?
Do we have time to chop the forest 2S of The Evidence before the settler moves? It would save a turn of movement.

Mr.Cairo told me it was GKC (Rome) but I think you are right judging from score increase. PH is 4 turns (5 since there is still one turn into poly to be made, probably 6 turns away after archery judging our cash).
Regarding the forest 2S of The Evidence, the only possibility I see is to dispatch one of DoW's worker for 4 turns after the chop. 1 turn chop >2t move > chop (done in time to speed up settling of city #4) > back to DoW to finish roading marble.

So that puts Alphabet at between 30-40 turns away. Maybe, it's hard to estimate, beaker amounts change so much at this stage of the game, relatively. Honestly, I have no idea. Writing is ~10 turns away, I'll have a better idea then.
What is your timeline for Mathematics?
By turn 45 I hope to have the land between me and GKC scouted out, so we can exchange screenshots then.
MC
I estimate turn 75/80 math so it matches. I will do some sims to check.
Cheers

As promised. I had originally planned on settling towards GKC with my second settler, but that city spot was too good to pass up. My next couple will go in that direction though.
Oh, congrats on Stonehenge, btw.

Sorry this is a low graphical settings screen. I can take a better one tmr morning (in 9 hours approx) when I am on my best comp (the wife is sleeping rn ).
Tx for SH btw, though it might earn me an early war with TBW. We'll see how it goes.
Out of curiosity, is that you who created hinduism this turn (or SD?)
Cheers,
Ras

It was GKC actually, in the city of Lodi that was in my last screenshot.
Are you in a turn-split with someone?
MC
Damn him then
No, not yet! (I am cautious TBW might attack me, but he swears he isn't planning agressive actions right now, we will see how things go).
I had some unexpected stuff though so I needed some more time to play.
Here is a better screenshot btw.

Did you met Gavagai already?
