@ Gira sorry for the experience this game. I know I got a lot of flack for my comments in org thread when Noble wanted to join, but this experience for a newer player was what I was trying to avoid. Then you got a ded lurker who both took over part of your game and then abandoned you. Going to a multiplayer experience in any game is hard, but civ4 is a whole other beast. I hope you play in future games and if no one else steps up I would be more than willing to ded lurk you.

I also am mulling trying to start (I would ded lurk) a greens game soonish. I figure with maybe a few more people coming to the sight for AI survivor that it wouldn't be a bad time soon for one.

No, I was not a bad experience, neither for your comments neither for the "deadlurker".  This last was a little "weird"  but it kept in a polite "attitude".  So the overall balance is good.
I am sure you understand my point, explained in the previous post: for Greeners it is very frustating playing with such a good players, but that happends with every game. It is part of the competition.  And it is hard to learn to enjoy the game further than the wish to win.  What happends with this game is that most of the players now are very good. There are no new players (because it is an old game) and only freakies (as us) are left.
I will try to keep following  the forum and I will sign up for a new game after some rest.
