[SPOILERS] ALWAYS PEACE? What will Lewwyn do?

I had a revolt in Cyne's city:

But he's got 3 warriors on the way and he's in Free Speech now. I probably won't get to flip the city.

Democracy finished next EOT. Then we go towards Steam power. I really want Theatres for the border culture war, but it seems a waste at this point in time. I'd rather get the 50% worker bonus first.

Here we see Cyne's GA has ended. I have one turn to get Carl to revolt. And I don't like my odds. Lots of chops though. And Democracy in this turn. I have Gunpowder set as the next tech, but not sure I will keep that.

I've decided to switch tech paths because of this:

I need more culture here. In the grand scheme of things losing a couple tiles down here probably doesn't mean anything, but dammit I will not stand for the insult! So I teched Aesthetics this turn, Drama next turn. Then we'll go back to Gunpowder>Chemisty>Replaceableparts>Steampower.

Scooter has 1 GNP since he is switching into Free Speech and Free Religion. It takes him 2 turns to make the switch out of GA. Dunno why he didn't pop a GA for that. 2 turns of anarchy at this point is massive.

So here's a little note as well about techs. I read about the whole stringing as many 1T techs as possible challenge. 12 by LP and 16 by Mackoti. Well. I'm going to beat that. My techs since Communism have all been 1T:

Guilds
Banking
Economics
Nationalism
Constitution
Corporation
Construction
Engineering
Democracy
Aesthetics
Drama

That's 12. I have these planned as 1T techs yet:

Gunpowder
Chemistry
Replaceable Parts
Lit
Music
Steam Power

I may do Steam Power earlier if I can get it as 1T directly after Replaceable Parts. If not I see no reason not to pick up lit for 300 with almost 2k overflow helping Steam Power. After that I haven't planned out more, but that's at least 18. Sorry Mack! :neenernee

Yeah, that. Also rego, Lewwyn and mackoti all already have awards named after them. AND rego actually got me naming it after Parkin by referring to "Parkinizing" techs in his 17 thread. Add that to the fact that I knew rego and Lewwyn could take a joke in having less than kind awards named after them while I was less sure about Parkin.

LMAO I didn't think I cheated... All the techs I have teched and I am teching are being used and serve a function unlike archery. I am currently building 3 theatres. Drama was a necessity.

Quite a big difference. I'm playing normal speed to your quick Rego. Last I checked my techs are a lot more expensive.

And last I checked I'm not done 1turning techs. Maybe I should tech archery, HA, Divine Right, Theology Rego? I will be happy to try and best your 23 techs even if its considered "cheating". lol

Heh, I have no problem with the award being named after LP. Never intended for the name of the award to change, just saw a challenge and wanted to best it.

I'm putting workshops down round every city. No more time for cottages to pay for themselves. Everything everywhere is Workshops beyond a couple farms to stimulate quick growth in new cities.

Gunpowder in this turn, Chemistry next.
