Civ6 PBEM3 Organizing Thread

I don't think it's possible to avoid the patch, without knowing more about software than my capabilities. So, I'll play this turn with the new patch already. Steam wouldn't let me start the game in offline mode.

It is what it is with the patch.

I won't have time to really test it myself before next Wednesday but I believe it changes quite a lot. Hopefully for the better.

The game currently crashes in multiplayer whenever I use "Make Deal". I played and forwarded the turn but I hope they patch this patch soon.

I'm worried that this patch might have broken some things in the game. As the PBEM4 tech thread shows, they appear to be having some troubles regarding unit cost not being the same between players. They had a problem with the cost of settlers, so I'm afraid we might have a similar problem.

Perhaps everyone can post a screenshot in their own thread with the cost of a settler, so lurkers can see if everything is behaving as it should. If I understand things correctly, settler cost on the previous patch was 80 -> 100 -> 120 and so on. Now, it should go 80 -> 110 -> 140.

Any other behaviour that doesn't look right, I advise everyone to report on your threads.

Regarding Rowain's problem, that's certainly a game ruiner. If this behaviour continue, I see no other option than restarting the game. I really doubt there will be any sort of patch fixing this and having someone without the ability to make diplo is a severe disadvantage. I don't remember having trouble with that screen after the patch, speaking for myself. I'll try to test it in the next turn. Hoepfully it sorts itself out.

When considering a restart we need to consider the fact that our intentionally lackadaisical pace will probably have us getting patched mid-game at least once more (if there's a fall patch) and possibly twice (if there's also a winter patch and the game goes long enough).

On an unrelated note, I attempted to look up some information on a game mechanic via The Google this morning.  A link to one of Ichabod's posts in his spoiler thread was a first-page search result.  shakehead
