New settler off to found [ASYETUNNAMED] city by the lake to the North-East [yes, a change of plan, but don't tell Nakor/Gaspar] .. see below for reason

In other news, it being the weekend & in light of the weird messages from Nakor, I've been able to do some diplomacy with my eastern neighbours [both of whom are also English]:

We were discussing settling plans, so we've exchanged maps [he has Paper, thankfully] to help planning the land between us, hence the settling to the north-east.

He will expand to the lake to my south-east, 1 tile off the east edge to pick up the fish tile. As it won't be on the lake, I will gift him the Work Boat that flew across my land as I'm not using at the moment [I will be settling on the north-west edge of that lake anyway]

Open Borders [actually they were opened earlier to facilitate trade, but they will remain open]
He will warn me of any impending threats [He has informed be that Whosit's only goal now is to kill me!
In exchange for the Work-Boat he'll gift me two fast workers.
Similar to Malakai, we have traded map [again, he has Paper ]

I'll summarise the other NAPs in place:

Whosit:
Ends t100 - no answer yet about the Work-Boat or the other terms to extend this. In light of the above warning, I won't hold my breath.

Nakor/Gaspar:
Ends t125 - a few settlement restrictions I think

Tredje:
Ends t100 - no restrictions due to distance

Turn 94

Tupac03 heroically killed what may be the last remaining Barbarian [Warrior] on our cultural borders. And we finished Monotheism this turn. Let's look at the tech vs gold rates:

@ 0% - 33 beakers - +61G/turn
@ 100& - 207 beakers - -91G/turn

We currently have 244G banked So, we could complete Code of Laws in 2 turns if we crank things up to the max Getting Court-Houses in place will improve these figures dramatically, so let's do just that .. then we'll revolt to Organized Religion

In other news, we're building Longbowmen to fortify our cities further [sorry Sandover] and I'm naming then "BigWayneXX" - and they're double-promoted to City Garrison II!!

Aggressive Trait + Barracks + Vassalage = =)=)=)

Ooh .. and we have a couple of Catapults [Timbaland01 & Timbaland02] hiding around somewhere Unfortunately they were built before the last revolution, so only got Barrage I promotion ... oh well, we'll build more at some stage

GOOD NEWS DAY

First off ... the turn finally made it's way around!!!

Secondly, NO BARBARIAN ACTIVITY this turn!!!!

Thirdly .... Hmm .. there must have been some beakers I didn't account for ... @ 100% we completed Code of Laws THIS TURN!!!!! I think Metal Casting next, I didn't check but it may be possible in 1 turn as well ... besides I think we have to wait before we can go through another turn of Anarchy for Organized Religion, can we convert to Buddhism first or is that also delayed as we revolted to Vassalage & Serfdom recently?

Whoo-hoo!! We've become Buddhists!! And it looks like we can revolt to Organized Religion next turn .. or should I wait for Metal Casting to come in first? Yes, it can be completed in 1 turn!

But what's this?



Where did he come from? Must be the south or via Nakor/Gaspar's land as we don't have Open Borders. We'll shadow him with the Tupac & Offiah and see if he declares war on us - this could be interesting.

Dammit! Of course, the double Woodsmen promotions mean that Axeman can move through the damned forests as if they aren't there!! Bugger, oh well maybe Offiah might run into a Barbarian and get a suitable promotion to keep up with it.

Landed Metal Casting at end of turn and we will definitely be revolting to Organized Religion next time to gain the quicker building times in the Buddhist cities [which will be expanded] It was BackInBlack that converted this turn, not EyesLikeYours, and Kyan sent a Missionary to convert SheWolf ... excellent!!

[When this is over, and you read this thread Nakor/Gaspar, wondering why I went into the Buddhist camp, know that it was your scaremongering message that gave me the final push towards Kyan]
