He was wrong in his assumptions, and jumped to crazy conclusions with the knowledge he has, but he was (unknowingly) right in that I did violate the agreement somewhat in the days leading up to the cancellation. Two weeks ago Bob told me "Timmy might send troops at Sandover, but who knows if he will or not." Technically, I should've passed that on. But I didn't... So that was a violation honestly. Granted, I didn't know if it would actually happened, but I still should have told him by the letter of the law.
And there it is. I better just finish the thread before posting again. Why argue with someone who is in agreement?

I'm prepared to declare war on him in two turns, and I expect to raze at least one of his commerce cities within a couple turns of having declared. Aside from my initial offensive strike, I'll try to occupy Sandover's south as best as I can, keeping him tied down while I build up for a grand assault into his core.
Sorry, I just couldn't help myself!

You know, I was just thinking the other day that it was disappointing that we never chatted about that whole escapade afterwards, and then yesterday I saw you posted in my thread. Didn't get to it, but then I saw you are back at reading it today:

Glad it was entertaining!

Yep. I felt like I did what I had to do to give myself a shot at winning the game. The situation was quite unique - in that I could break the agreement with zero repercussions, because you had made enemies out of every other player in the game, and you were a total runaway so no one really felt all that bad for you. It was even interesting to see Pocketbeetle pop in at that time and ask why I thought I was the "bad guy" in that particular arrangement, which showed to me that even lurker perception was that you sorta had it coming.
That day where we exchanged all the hectic emails was probably one of the most interesting days of the whole game - one of those days where I remember exactly where I was when I read and sent each email.

Not as entertaining as mine though, I'm sure.
Yes, I had to make that comment!

Those lurkers are kinda funny. In my thread they kept saying something along the lines of "I don't like what you're doing, but please keep doing it"! I remember Rowain in particular cheering me on for the full extent of the game.

It was interesting alright. Too bad you "won" that conversation. Looking back at it I think the main reason you had me fooled there was that I wanted to be wrong about you pretty badly, but I can't say for sure. So much was going on at the time that what you did and didn't do on the other side of the world quickly fell into neglect on my part.

This is quickly turning into outright spamming but just have to say that I find it odd that both SM and TT got so upset when I asked for info "becasue I didn't offer anything in return", when in fact:
1. Neither of them asked for any info.
2. I was sharing stuff very freely with everybody at that point in the game.

It was funny, because I didn't even necessarily plan to do that. It just got to the point where our deal was benefitting you enormously and it was actually hurting me, so I needed to make my one move to have a remote chance at winning.

This is definitely not true. You were going to backstab Bobchillingworth, remember? Honestly that whole event (the interfering with my Timmy war) very much irked me at the time, and it was definitely a part of why I was willing to sell you out later.

Nah. We never made a deal not to go to war with each other, and I didn't owe him anything. He owed me missionaries and a great person. I also never lied to him. As soon as he asked if I was going to give him a safe flank during the war I told him I was actually about to attack him, which was completely true.

I told you I could wound up attacking Bob as soon as I first had that thought. I can hardly be blaimed for the fact that all indications you gave me was that you was ok with that. Not once did you ask for a timeline. You assumed a timeline, and was incorrect. I know I'm an easy guy to blame, but I really didn't deserve in that case because you had all information you possibly could've wanted available to you through our intelligence agreement. Besides, I backed out of attacking Bob purely because you asked me to. It's interesting how that favour evently lead you into turning on me in such a deceitful fashion.

That must've been my teaming up representation with mercantilism, in case someone hasn't realised that yet. Lack of both foreign trade and cottage friendly land had me running quite a few specialists against my will.
