Hey guys I will be off the grid for 4 days and will check with Adrienier if he can push the game on in the meantime.

Such small breaks might come more frequently as my wife and me were given the opportunity to do a 4 month honeymoon in Sout Amerika.

This is also the reason why my forum activity dropped down as I had to finish a lot of projects at work.

We are traveling by now and are setting up a blog. If you are interested I can post it here so you can follow why I couldn't play at a certain period ?

Sadly we won't make it to Brasil as I believe Ichabod lives there, maybe you will be in Peru, Bolivia, Chile or Argentina in the coming 4 months? ?

As a heads up, we are right now in Peru and about to visit the Paramount Pictures mountain, which is called Artesonraju and located in the cordillère blanca right next to the highest peak of Peru.

I am sorry that this trip might slow the game pace bur we only realised in July that it was possie and I have been extremely busy with its preparation and the closure of open projects at home.

Just a heads up - I've got a very busy evening in store for me and I don't know that I'll be able to get my turn in tonight.

That's awesome, Kaiser. I'd appreciate if you could post your blog, as I have a similar South America trip on my "to do" list and I'd like to get some ideas of places to visit. smile

I'm from Brazil, yeah, but actually as close to Argentina as you can get. There's a chance I'll go to Argentina on the summer, so perhaps we can set something up, depending on your schedule.

Have a wonderful trip! If you get the chance, I suggest visiting Bariloche/San Martin de los Andes, as I can attest to the beauty of the place. A friend of mine that made a trip all the way down to Ushuaia, in Tierra del Fuego, says that the southern part of Chile, the parks there, are wonderful (though I think the roads can be a bit problematic, so it's something to check).

I am back for now, thank you for your understanding  and a very big thanks goes to Adrienier as he was able to keep the game running while I walked past the Paramount Pictures mountain (Artesonraju in Peru)

The next days will be some travelling and then likely another 3 day trek through the canyon de colca. As we did not book anything but plan and organze the trip on the go I do not know when exactly.

Our rough itinerary is going from here Huaraz, Peru, West until Sucre in Bolivia and then South until Patagonia. Baril och is already on our list, but I do not know about St. Martin de los Andes.

I will be able to get some pictures for the Wold Wonder thread from Machu Pichu and Torres del Paine xD

At the beginning of January we will be near Salta in Argentina with my parents in law. I will post the blog as soon as we have the first articles in.

I just received an email from Kaiser (who doesn't have enough internet to connect to RB), he's in the Canyon de Colca and won't play his turns for the next 3 day so I'll play the turns.

Just as a heads up my schedule this week went from neat and tidy to very unpredictable.  I'll have the current turn done early this evening (by 6pm local time) and will try to move things along the best I can.  Things will be settled and back to normal this weekend.

When I signed up for the game I mentioned that I'd have two civ-less weeks at the end of October.  Those dates have been finalized and I'll be completely offline from Oct 19th through Oct 31st.

Thanks for the heads up.
