And yeah, that was interesting.
Duh! I knew that! Maybe I should write reports more often to catch my

This is the other spot I'm considering for city three:
I'll get the spice eventually anyways, but I will also get the sugar, banana and gems which would be nice. The site here would also be close enough that I could defend all three cities with a central stack. The same is true of teh fish site I'm considering but only AFTER engineering allows for extra road movement. I'm not sure yet which I prefer.
After ending turn, the first keshik rolled off the line. Cyneheard moved his Praet up to my border so if he keeps pushing in I'll need to make use of him soon. 7XP off the line is great. I only need to win one battle to have three promos!
You'll also note I'm teching Aesthetics. I made the decision to go for the Great Library (not to mention national/heroic epics) instead of Construction. It's definitely not as safe but I decided that I want to leverage my teching lead that I have now into a further tech lead. Rep powered Great Library seems a good decision. MoM would also be nice but since I'm not PHI I don't think that's quite as good of a play. I'm also not sure how useful a GA would be to me with only 2 or even 3 cities.
Also, note that I'm updating two turns in a row. I'm not saying I only update because lurkers post, but one might observe that I have posted two updates after getting lurker comments.

So where exactly would the jungle plant go? On the spice tile?

That is the question. I think for defensive purposes that makes the most sense. What I don't like about the jungle is that there are no hills to plant on. I'd like it if the mountain 1E of the spices was a hill.
Alternately, planting on the sugar is harder to defend (due to distance and having a hill next to it that attackers could sit on), but I would get +1 food in the city center (right?) and more river tiles to work.
1N of the sugar would be super bold and pull in a ton more resources. It'd be very risky but the city would be amazing!
Of course all these spots require IW and a lot of worker turns. the fish site is probably a no go though because I am guessing krill will artist bomb it as soon as he can. I don't want to fight that. So jungle may be it. just gotta pick where...

Yeah, the sugar plant is 3-food.

I guess a crazy thought would be to plan ON the gems. Since Cyneheard and Krill have their third cities, I know they won't be pushing into that area. I could claim the center and take the hill. So much to decide.

This picture will make you laugh and/or cringe:
Yes I'm building two totally stupid and worthless wonders. Why? because I have nothing else to build and I can't afford the gold for any more unit support. Best case scenario, someone else builds these terrible wonders and I get fail gold. ToA actually would get me a Rep specialist which would be nice though would take a LONG time to pay off. I'm gonna switch after I tech Aesthetics though. Since I have gold for the multiplier and could use the religious civic options (hello, SPIRITUAL!), I'll build that. Probably in the capital. Then, I'll build the Great Library in Dua with the forest chops I have there. I got stone in my borders at EoT when the capital expanded. I'd rather have Marble. Krill gets that. Fortunately, it should be relatively easy for me to keep him from getting it hooked up with my keshiks. He's the only real competition for the Great Library. PLUS I know his tech goal. I'm also thinking I'd take Math then Music to steal the Great Artist that I'm sure he'd love to have. It's a long time to wait but I may time my third city to be founded when I can immediately culture bomb it.
I have some units trying to raze Scooter's final city for the gold but besides that I'm keeping units close to home in case I get attacked. Fortunately with the cultural borders I have now, there's plenty of time to switch off these crazy builds to get more troops!

Speaking of scooter, I gotta decide what to do. The warrior gets better odds against the chariot:
Meanwhile the dog gets better odds vs the keshik:
I have another chariot with C2 and Shock that would be much better. It's healing in my territory from destroying a barb city. I'm thinking I may just pillage and wait for the better chariot. If I promote the keshik to Shock, scooter would have to take bad odds to attack and it surely won't be wasted against a Praet-fueled roman army.

So here's the situation at scooter's city:
I get 75% odds on a dog when I attack the city with my keshik, so if he attacks out without the defensive bonus, he'll lose seriously. I highly doubt he'd risk it.
I've never wanted to build the Shwedagon Paya before so I completely overlooked one fact:
Bummer!!! That'll have to wait.
However I did decide teh Great wall was just too stupid to build so I decided to pre-build a keshik instead so i can swap to in and build in 1 turn without a whip.
Finally, I'm feeling this third city site pretty good:
I am also digging the Great Artist bomb idea. Literature is 4 turns. Math is 5. Then Music is 9 I think. That's a long time to put off Construction. But I will get math which is necessary for Construction anyways.
