Iron Working is to try to see if there's any iron in that resource void between myself and Ilios, to justify a bridge city to the stone spot. Also to make the Ivory a more attractive tile, as well as just start clearing out the land around that city to make things a bit nicer.
I'm not really planning a specific tech path, but I'd like to found one of the later religions if I can manage it. mackoti Wrote:SO GAVAGAI WINNED ALOT BUT HE DIDNT HAD ANY PROBLEM?
Nothing much happened this turn.
I finished another worker, bringing me up to a total of six workers for four cities. Minmus is making another worker, and Kerbin and The Mun are each working on another settler - due in 5T from The Mun and 7T from Kerbin. I scouted out the clam/silver spot and it turns out to be even better. ![]() Two happy from one city! And this is RBMod, where i think whales can be hooked up quite a bit earlier? I don't remember what tech whales are available at, if someone can remind me. The city doesn't have a lot of food - before a lighthouse especially, but even afterwards it will grow quite slowly working the silver. However, not every city has to be a whippable food metropolis. Sometimes a steady growing city with several nice resources is just as good. So the settler from Kerbin will be heading to this spot, and the settler from The Mun will be going to the previously shown Moai location. Iron working came in at the end of this turn and before closing down I scouted around to see where the iron was. Mine is in a really nice spot, right next to the capital. ![]() It's a shame my workers are miles away from the capital, it will take a few turns to get back and get that hooked up, but it doesn't come much better than a grass iron tile at your capital and a grass copper tile at your third city. I took a quick look around to see who else had iron. Looks like Whosit has it in his capital too. Ilios has it NEAR his capital - I can't remember if he moved or not. Same deal with Yuri. I can't find any iron for Gaz except miles away from his civ on a peninsula. mackoti Wrote:SO GAVAGAI WINNED ALOT BUT HE DIDNT HAD ANY PROBLEM?
5f tile+3f tile means the T-Hawk approved +6f surplus there.
...and the iron is under a worker?

Updated whale/silver city location - thar be more food there!
![]() So that city now has access to double clams as well as the whale and silver. And on top of that, moving it to get access to the second clams means that the fish from the Moai city is available when needed too. You can see where I plan to put another fishing city 1SE of the silver tile - that city is really only to get access to that fish resource and all of those forests - maybe I can chop out a granary and lighthouse and have a reasonable coastal commerce city with low distance maintenance. It can also work the silver when the other city needs to grow. mackoti Wrote:SO GAVAGAI WINNED ALOT BUT HE DIDNT HAD ANY PROBLEM?
Oh, and Sailing came in this turn and gave me trade routes with Yuri. Since Yuri is literally the LAST person in the game who I need to compete with over anything, I'll be trying to get OBs with him as soon as either of us gets Alphabet. Though I'm hoping he does.
