Thanks, that's exactly the kind of stuff I wanted to read.

You're welcome smile. Thought it might be easier to dig up an old post than to answer your questions piecemeal.

Yup, indeed smile

This turn I declared on Sian. Might just take a look at his capital and possibly slow down his worker improvments by standing on Rice for a couple turns. Boy, that'd be a dick move! lol

Bleh. So much riverside stuff... Where's my river?!?! frown

Oh yeah, I'm a dick smoke.

Oh, hi there worker. No Rice for ya today, buddy. Next turn I find the worker roading (???) another floodplain down here...

I'm jealous of Sian's capital. Look at all those floodplains... I'm just gonna simply say that my start sucks compared to this. Sian doesn't have gold in BFC but will have it for 2nd/3rd city. That's just a lot more food than I'm ever going to get (and this is also SIP) rolleye.

Dang, Sian found my capital and can sit on Wheat right before I get my worker there. He doesn't know that yet though. I guess I'd deserve that to happen lol.

Anyway, offered peace treaty. I'd be surprised if he accepted right away.

We have copper! And yes, Sian is sitting on my Wheat :P.

Going to improve my Copper asap. Sian doesn't have copper in BFC, but might have it somewhere in the SW where I can't see. Anyway, early rush might be possible if Sian can't connect copper quickly enough. I have actually no idea if it's really possible but who knows. It's obvious me and Sian won't have peaceful relations ever. Didn't revolt to Slavery yet, will do shortly I think.

We have graphs... which is actually bad for me- if Sian reads them correctly he can of course notice that I have BW and see if I build axes.

I wonder what are those two power spikes for Sian. They are obviously techs but not sure what they are - both are worth 4k. I guess Mining makes sense but does that give power? Can anyone link me to post where I can find power amounts of different techs/units? Maybe I could find one in CFC but I'm not sure if Krill changed anything for RtR. Sooo... anyone?

This is the most accurate post. I doubt Krill messed with those numbers, he'd have no reason to do so.

Ok, thanks Adrien.

2000 soldiers – Sailing, Hunting, Mining, Animal Husbandry
4000 soldiers- Wheel, Alphabet, Astronomy, Metal Casting, Compass, Construction, Steel, Radio, Satellites
5000 soldiers- Composites, Stealth
6000 soldiers- Mathematics, Chemistry, Combustion, Archery
8000 soldiers- Guilds, Fission, Flight, Bronze Working, Machinery, Assembly Line
10000 soldiers- Horseback Riding, Iron Working, Artillery, Industrialism, Rocketry, Advanced Flight, Laser
12000 soldiers- Gunpowder, Rifling, Military Science

So it's like this. Doesn't really help a lot. I have no idea what's the other 4k tech besides Wheel. Wait... that doesn't have to be a tech. Maybe he built a warrior already (2k) + a tech (mining). That sounds like the only reasonable explanation I can think of.

Current situation. Sian is moving his warrior towards me, if he does move it NW I'll kill it. Notice also the horses in SW corner, I should try to delay Sian from improving that tile if I can. He has a decent city spot 1S of the Horses (shares Corn from cap, not shown in the pic). I have a settler ready to settle 2nd city 1W of FP next turn unless Sian for some reason moves 1N. But there is no reason for him to do that - he can see my whip so he either a) moves his warrior away or b) moves towards cap.

WB quickly in cap for 2nd Fish then probably another axe and I'll see if I can block Sian's horses.

Situation in the south. Managed to place my warrior to nice spot, Sian was roading that hill tile earlier; presumably to settle on the forest tile for Chariots.

AT also has 2 cities now, I could get to 3rd quickly but I might just build a few Axes instead and go after Sian. I don't know where his Copper is (I'm trying to find it with my scout). If it's far enough from Sian's cap I'm going to attack with couple Axes shortly (roading that way already). If the Copper is close enough I will whip a settler instead and settle my 3rd city close to Horses or if I'm feeling frisky enough I'll just settle for Horses in 1st ring right away. That feels like very unlikely to happen though. As of next tech after Pottery I'm considering grabbing Judaism for my religion. It might be possible to get it still.

Demos T33.

Pretty cool population I have there twirl.
