I did not touch the CS on the eastern landmass. The isthmus makes PP easier for Russia. And England can do PP by sea and has an isolated start, so I think it is ok.

Both religious civs have semi-ok NW.

Will have time in a few hours. Did you address the strategic resource balance? Are the civ picks final?

Civ picks are final. Strategic ressource are balanced but not totally so.

Oil should be fine now.

The attached zip has 3 files, with progressively more extensive editing ...

1. Added Strategics: I went through and sprinkled in some additional strategics to make sure everyone had good access
2. Light editing: In addition to the above, (a) I added a couple of tiles to your northern land bridge to make it 2 tiles wide, and (b) added a few tiles to give Russia better access to the peninsula to their southwest. I felt Russia was already feeling very squeezed and needed a more solid claim to that area.
3. Heavy editing: In addition to the above I added a land bridge in the south, connecting #4 Arabia to #6 England. Without this England is very isolated, only having the option to expand through Russia or overseas. I'm not entirely satisfied with how it looks so feel free to reject or alter. I think the one city state needs to be moved east as indicated by PINK in the screenshot. Moving it gives Russia and England a better shot at first-to-meet that one, otherwise Arabia could meet it across the water.

Hmm, you may be right. I think the southern landbridge robs the map of its interesting character and I kinda liked the idea to give England a Penninsula to work with.

The southern land bridge does indeed rob some of the map's character. And in all reality it doesn't open up many more options for England. Feel free to ignore either the light or heavy editing files (the only edit I feel strongly about is widening the peninsula SW of Russia). I think you should at least take the strategic resource edits since there were a couple still lacking.

Maybe also sprinkle in some additional seafood. I didn't check that specifically but often the script leaves large bare patches of coast where an extra crab or two would be appreciated.

TBS is totally going to whine about the map forcing England to attack him.

England has plenty of room and oppurtunity to go west by sea, if he wants to.

Russia has first dibs on religion so he will have DotF, I am not that worried. And Rome can handle a bit of pressure.

In the worst case, it is my fault.

I sprinkled a bit of seafood around and moved the CS. I took your light edits. I disliked the landbridge, I hope you do not mind.

Final version.
