[Mjmd #56 no players] One ring to find them

Took the city. Technically won all 3 60ish% battles. Had to make the decision of how much to leave ect if I wanted to defend weakened units. I ended up moving like 4 praets in the city and went: hm, maybe remaining isn't enough (most of the axes don't have promos, but still). So deleted injured 1 praet and 1 chariot. To note one of the remaining Van cities is 3 east of that. Maybe Amica will raze and replace. BTW that capital is WEIRD. It has 2 whales (main weird part), clam, wet corn and hill sheep. Can definitely understand financial pick. BTW almost forgot to mention I am now 3/3 for 0 infrastructure kept on cities taken.....

In the middle I may be trying to fork Pomegranate and Grapes. Next turn I'll move an axe to hill NW of Pom and see what he has in. Unsure how much was moved out for northern defense. I mentioned but Van has construction so if I move farther I could be caught by 2 cats, which isn't the end of the world vs mostly C1 axes (last I knew), but something to consider. 3 reinforcing praets can move where Van's spear / worker is or they can go north depending on decision. Mig if you log in next turn, at your discretion if you want to move 1 axe from city to where Cairo scout is on that hill you can let me know what you think.

Amica is teching AGAIN (must be nice) and didn't have gold for a loan. No one else did either (besides Noble). I'll probably do a turn of tech next turn regardless. Have multiple cities coming off a whip unhappy next turn and have a library finishing in med. Mainly want to get it in in case I end up with 2 WW eventually.

It is interesting Van is moving from one city on a hill with walls to another. Assuming Amica will take that this turn and Van just hates me more, which is fair. Will be interesting if Amica keeps or razes and resettles. Van has almost as many axes as I do Praets. Meaning I need cats. Will wealth build to them maybe.

Ok Mig. You didn't understand my pb54 message. What are the odds Amica understands this one?

I'll convert to Hinduism in 21 turns for 115 gold straight up now. The random wars I sometimes add to the bottom so people don't accept (a la PBEM 78 style). I then sent a request just for 115 gold (I can always ask for a loan next turn since Amica is playing after me). I also asked for a spice for 10 gold (not per turn, just 10 gold).

Other news is that Civac attacked Cairo as expected.

I have 3 settlers in queue; one of which I'll probably put a chop into. Old Ruff island, deer city, and then probably filling cows? I want as many cities as possible for golden age and hopefully can get gold for currency to afford them. I think deer city is a mixed city that I just never whip due to low food. I thought about irrigating for workshop production hub, but it slightly wastes the gem then plus that is a long way off. I'll have an army of workers up there to chop out a granary and library.

I've read your answer, but I still don't understand why converting to hinduism would be useful or good for Amicalola? Could you explain your thought process there?

Shrine income.

Basically I'll take steps to spread Hinduism down the road which will be worth WAY WAY more than 115g, but I get upfront gold which I need. I would like to spread a religion for happy plus organized (I'm thinking organized and monarchy are golden age goals btw). I can choose one of 3 religions and could choose one that doesn't help Amica. With even just a market and if I spread to all my cities that is worth somewhere around 20+gpt you know 30 turns from now. It is also a nice relationship building exercise.

I can still ask for a loan next turn if needed. Amica is also still teching this turn, but we shall see.

Ah ok so it is more of a message/promise then an actual deal.

No, no way lol . What's with the corn and sheep? I would think that you want some Hindu city, and he can go for a sheep/corn location... something like that? But Grapes is sort of all of that lol ?
I mean, when you start the GA you could actually offer him to convert for gold (does he have the shrine ready yet?) After all, we could also get the shrine in Quince and spread our own religion, also a 300 points prophet is nasty.

The resources were mainly peace symbols that weren't fish to subdivide between the relevent portion of the message and irrelevant. I um 100% should have made sure they didn't represent a city. Not the first complicated diplo message I've sent. Not the last lol. Confusing people is also valuable I guess /shrug.

I think a 300 point prophet is just too much. It would delay the 2nd golden age until the game was over. Speaking of assuming I can start building Forums I would probably build exactly 2 of them pre organized religion for the two cities that are going to be working on those great people. I think Rome and its southern neighbor Sat (future Maoi city). Sat can take the clam for good food. I would build Maoi first. I'll try to get stone from someone so I can have it done pre golden age hopefully.

Got the gold and got the happy resource, so my empire is back in business!

So I saw Van took back a city and I had an internal bet if it was Arbutus or the city NE. It was the NE city; hopefully lost one of the axes. Surprised Van didn't raze it.

Only Civac has stone it seems. I could settle a mediocre city for stone down by Cairo and steal Raspberry dry corn. I'll try to get one somewhere. I don't think Sat can build both Maoi and a market in time for golden age. Meaning I need another candidate. Neapolis?

Can't raze your own cities if you recapture and have majority culture.

So I should have known because I always thought it was anarchy that prevented. I didn't know it was actually due to majority culture. Good to know. Single player I never razed cities very often. Hrm, wonder if Van also didn't know this.
