I’ll be honest and say that I don’t think I have any excitement left for continuing this game. That’s not to say I don’t think some excitement wouldn’t come back when / if we restart, but if Donovan is having doubts about continuing then I’m not going to push for him to do so.

Yeah, I totally understand not wanting to pick up this commitment after this long of a break. Turn length builds in a frog in a pot way as you play, but now there’s a clear trade-off with other things “OK, that’s 2 runs of Blue Prince I’m giving up each night”. I’m also now used to having that time, which is why I’m ambivalent about continuing.

I’d definitely endorse that game conclusion summary.

Hey all, thought I should step in here finally.  I'm truly sorry how things have gone down, but I've reached a point where I'm able to try and get things going again.  I think Drey has it a bit right -- once I "jumped out of the boiling pot" it made it really hard to come back.  Especially with the amount if time I've been spending in the turns lately.

I'm interested to know how SD and Drey feel at this point, as it seems you both are fine with continuing.  From my perspective, if I can't get my turn times under control, I may have to kick things over to thrawn if he's interested.  I do think this game deserves a conclusion, but it will take much discipline and restraint on my part to keep things going.

I'll pledge to play by Sunday 5/4 if that works for everyone, testing out a more focused play style to finish the last 1/4 of my turn at a better pace.  And once again, my sincere apologies to all -- you guys deserve much better than I've given you for the last month or so.  frown

Hey Donovan, I'm glad you're doing better now and no shade at all on you for taking the time away that you needed.

Right now I'm very ambivalent about continuing; I've also got used to being "out of the pot" and am unsure whether starting again will rekindle my interest in the game or just feel like a slog. I know that Superdeath wants to continue, but if the other two of us are half-hearted about it I don't know that's enough.
