[strike]Wow, that is impressive if we can pull it off. What kind of research rate do you have us down as maintaining? That's one thing I want to see when we get the next turn: what our research numbers are post-GA.[/strike] Edit: never mind, I missed the part where you wrote that research numbers were estimates.
Honestly, if we're looking at that kind of growth then let's sit on our gains and build up infrastructure. If Sian crumbles we can pounce there, but I think we need to be out of conflicts in case NoSpace & Mackoti sign peace.
We're looking over t100 right now and we noticed something...
Quote:Luddite: right
so why would mackoti ask for 250 gold, reject 100 gold, then offer peace to nospace?
Pindicator: so confusing
Luddite: i just don't understand that guy at all lol
Pindicator: i'm going to post that in our thread
Luddite: this is what happened in PB4 :P
i was like "damn it, diplomacy with him is too confusing, time for war"
Pindicator: lol, can i include that bit too?
Luddite: sure
That's right. He turned down our gift of 100g. We're only guessing he offered Peace to Novice based on Novice's question in the Organization Thread.
CTON makes for some interesting puzzles.
The turn began with a surprising offer of peace from Fierce. We talked about it for a while, and eventually decided that we'd rather just finish him off right now, before he gets any more defenders. 8 gpt for 10 turns is not that much.
Here's the situation in Fierce's land. Prague kept its courthouse, so we're going to build the Forbidden Palace there to get maintenance under control. Gotta make sure we have 6 courthouses built for that, of course.
Now our city list. We have 18 cities right now (not all shown), which is more than anyone except nospace. Annoyingly, they've settled several more in the last few turns, and they're now up to 20. All of our cities still have room to grow.
cities and land:
The capital, finishing off the Parthenon. It's producing almost half our production all by itself right now. I'm thinking of replacing those mines with windmills after we get machinery, though. Or we could just cottage them, and give the desert copper mine to T3.
Speaking of which, here's our central land:
HappyAnniv is by far our best city. It's running 4 specialists, growing at 4 fpt, and producing 11 hpt for a missionary all at the same time.
Northeast land:
Northwest land (border with Mackoti):
And finally, our border with Sian. That island looks so tempting...
Our military screen. As you'd expect, most everything is in Fierce's land right now.
The relations screen is funny. Everyone's in a war! You don't see that too often.
You know, for a game with no talking, this game still has a lot of diplo stuff going on!
Last turn, we noticed that Yuri had taken out Sian's only source of iron. (He has another, but it's not connected yet). We offered him one of ours, for 250 gold, which was basically all of his gold. I didn't expect him to accept- I thought he'd have workers there to hook it up. But no, he took it. So now we're 250 gold richer, and yuri is going to hate us.
Meanwhile, Mackoti is asking us for gold again- 150 this time. Still not sure what to make of that. And Nospace asked us for open borders.
Alright, decided to give mackoti the gold, and agreed to open borders with NoSpace. It didn't seem to affect our trade balance much, either way, and maybe it'll lull them into a false sense of security.
teched machinery, and next turn we'll get guilds .
So I moved a chariot down to check on Nuremberg and...
well well well, what's this?
I'm not sure that going after Fierce while Sian is fighting for his life against Yuris is exactly the most rational move. But hey, A for effort.
Now then, what should we do? Wait for Sian to weaken the city, then take it? Wait for Sian to capture it, then stab him? Or stab him somewhere else while he's busy?
