Nice move with the fish; you can only do this with the advanced start (will, technically you could get a WB through from the coast with a fort) and now it even gets lighthoused

And in the CtH the requirements for that should be the same as BtS. Otherwise bug.

You guys astound me with your settling choices. lol

I wanted to share the fish between the first two cities for flexibility, I wanted at least 1 city to be coastal (Colossus, pre-build workboats for future cities), both cities to share a trade connection, and I wanted the Deer tiles as another 6-food tile requiring the same cheap tech that allows improving of the Ivory. For this particular start I'm actually happy with the pasture unlocked at AH and the camp at Hunting (instead of vice versa in RtR). Still no sheep or pigs on the horizon. Delaying the cows pasture hurts, but given all the seafood and the commerce boost from IC trade routes I'm considering Sailing ahead of AH at this point. It's interesting to noted the different choices we all made with the Advanced Start. I'm really curious to see after the game exactly how the other players picked in respect to their starting terrain. Here's what I could gather from the score increases, cross-referenced with the Top 5 and population demographics:
T1 Demographics: I was the only player with a pop growth EOT1 so nobody else has a pop-2 city with 6+ food surplus. The power in the above demographics is confusing me, specifically rival best at 12,000. I know rival best is not Commodore or AT because they finished T0 before me. I logged back in later in the turn to swap what was initially a workboat build in Amsterdam to the warrior build that is pictured, and rival best power had jumped to 12k. Mr. Cairo and Scooter had both played in between. Of those two, scooter didn't take a tech so he would have have to buy 4 warrior which seems improbable. Mr. Cairo has 6k base power from pop + techs and therefore could not have taken Bronze Working or he would have minimum 14k power. But 6k power increase only makes sense for AH + 2 warriors (since only 1 city and therefore limited to 2 unit purchases) ... or Wheel + warrior + worker (which seems improbable since wheel adds no value at start).
Food!
We find bacon in the east, and still more green tiles everywhere. Also marble (Oracle) and stone, presumably near the halfway point to our eastern neighbor Unfortunately our scout has jokingly called the northern water the "Dead Sea". The new western scout begins his journey. Next turn a fishing expedition to the west coast, then southwest to find our southern neighbor. Both our cities have grown to size 3, two pop growths for the Dutch before anyone else in the world Scooter researched the first tech, a 3-turn research. Rival best GNP was 23 which wouldn't provide enough beakers to get anything but a 50 cost tech: Agriculture or Hunting. Scooter starts with Agriculture so this can only be Hunting ... but no power increase? Odd. Maybe Scooter's costs are higher and therefore his beaker rate at full burn is higher? I'll mark Scooter down for Fishing instead.
Contact!
Scooter - Wang Kon (FIN/PRO) of China (Agriculture/Mining - Cho-Ko-Nu/Pavilion). I'm content with this eastern neighbor. Long-term this trait combo is probably the strongest economically, which is extra incentive for Scooter to play nice in the early game. Maybe we can foster a friendship, settle a nice comfortable border, and focus on our other neighbors (or building wonders ). Chinese borders are peeking out 2NE of my scout putting 8 tiles between our culture. I can settle on the marble, leaving Scooter to settle where his warrior is standing 1W of pigs. Between stone and marble I think marble is best. I'm planning on using the first GEngineer for the Pyramids. Stonehenge and Great Wall are not very important and so cheap that the stone bonus isn't that impactful. Marble I can use for Oracle (again, a minor bonus), MoM, and the epic national wonders.
Im assuming its normal AI-diplo only?

Just normal AI Diplo for this game. I feel like Scooter and I got along OK in the always was game (until the end) so surely we can figure out how to cooperate with AI Diplo
