Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

[SPOILERS] Ioan's first attempt to Civ6 world

More images could be great. The last image is from t34, but I think the game is on t46 now. What's been going on over the last 12 turns?

The other players usually provide a lot of commentary, mostly about planning and speculation on other players, which isn't always necessary. A few sentences here and there is always good, though.

Could I ask for what kind of reports any lurker expect? Or anything else?

As marcopolo indicated, you haven't posted any updates since Turn 34 - we don't know what's been going on to offer commentary.  Most other players are updating every 2-3 turns at a minimum, if not every turn.
Sending units to their death since 2017.

Don't do what I did: PBEM 3 - Arabia , PBEM 6 - Australia This worked well enough: PBEM 10 - Aztecs Gamus Interruptus: PBEM 14 - Indonesia
Gathering Storm Meanderings: PBEM 15 - Gorgo You Say Pítati, I Say Potato: PBEM 17 - Nubia The Last of the Summer Wine: PBEM 18 - Eleanor/England
Rhymin' Simon: PBEM 20 - Indonesia (Team w/ China)

Lurkers' wish are my commands! smile

So, briefly: IMHO I sucked badly at beginning of this game... on all aspects - building, expanding and exploration.
But, somehow to my total surprise, I get an unexpected bonus... yikes

I met ( or better said, I was met ) by all civilisation! Last one is Ljubljana' Russia. Somewhere south of my second city ... much closer than I expected! But this is valid always when discussing about russians, isn't it? mischief

What piss me off the most is that once I edit a picture on Paint (3D) I cannot upload it anymore. frown
So, I try to explain just verbally why I think that my expansion so far sucked big time:  I had the luck ( or bad chance ) to clean 2 barbarian outposts. As a result I ended up with lot of cash... and for that reason I delayed the build of second settler in order to cash-buy it.
Which happened last turn and now my third ( produced ) settler is also close to be completed.

My plan for the moment are:
1. claim the spot near "wonder lake" for faith + building of a Holy Site with current settler;
2. claim iron-deposit which is located NW from my capital;
3. build archers to defend these cities from Persia' Immortal - which could be the biggest threat on such hard to defend terrain ( floodplains ). Damn, I may end up even building Walls for protecting the Holy City. frown
4. Build a fourth settler to fill a city somewhere between me and Peter/Ljubljana.
5. A second Campus on my Capital will be built after.

My dilemma is if to try to build the "Iron-city" ( which will be named "Fiereni" ~ City of Iron in Romanian wink ) on the coast or not. I'm afraid to go on coast so because I spot a barbarian quadrireme ( it killed my slinger BTW ). Any ideea/comments on this?

Considering how shitty I played I'm wonder why I'm not further back in scoring/statistics... rolleye

Holy Rome!  When you found your Religion, which two beliefs, would you like to take?

Choosing Choral Music or Work Ethic suggests you are planing to build many Holy Site districts, whereas Zen Meditation requires less investment to leverage.  Crusade or Defender of the Faith sounds terrifying with legions; Are you planning to conquer or build many cities and then invite your neighbors to bleed on your stone walls?  How will your pantheon choice affect this.

I am looking at your planned Fiereni location at Crater Lake.   A Holy Site there will give you potential a +3 Adjacency---  is it worth it?   The flood plains do not provide many hammers to build districts and walls.

Look west, on the Ofanto river, near the cholcolate and diamonds, you could found a legendary city on a hill, shielded by a river and mountains.  You would need to spend gold to a buy a tile at Crater Lake, but you will have food and hammers, and more luxes than any city that I have owned.

Damn, you're right - the spot near mountain on Ofanto river looks absolutely fabulous!!

This may solve my dilemma with costal city on NW... at least for the moment. wink

Many thanks!!

I suggest you consider uploading the images to imgur.com and then link them here instead that should help. Also, use the in game pins to mark cities, districts, improvements and even units (the 2nd symbol from the right in the lower left corner, just above the mini map)

What's going on?   Being the first to meet everybody, you have lurker gold.   Could you share the ribbon and the diplomatic status of everybody?

Very good point!!

For the moment: here is an overview of my empire after this turn ( which was a really fast one - less than 3 hours from previous one! smoke ).
As planned, I managed to settle the third city and a builder is heading to it to chop the Holy Site + Walls.
Fourth city is also marked and a settler is heading towards it.
