The problem with FFH pitboss is that spell duration increment at the start of Player 0's turn for all players.; So players later in the turn order have their spell duration reduced by one turn compared to players earlier in the turn order. This is a huge deal with temporary summons.Unfortunately it also occurs in sequential pitboss.

I've asked for us to get a subforum.

I've completed a map and once I can make a mapmaker thread, I'll post it for kindly lurker review.

A thought on civ picking: maybe we could use the "three random civ/leader combos" system from the vanilla pitboss games? Restricted leaders, of course, and no duplication of civs.

So just three random leaders? I'm down for either.
Someone needs to wake up Auror.
Also we need to figure out the player order right? My slot is 22-24 CET / 21-23 UTC. Pretty unlikely for me to paly outside that slot (might get a few morning turns in early), but I can be reliable with that one.

What dave said is good. But with option to reject all one round and get new ones to pick from?

Yes, or even two rounds like in the pitboss games (with the danger that the civ/leader pool gets progressively shallower).

Time slots: I can play early rounds in the morning (10:00-12:00 UTC), or, less reliably, at lunch time (17:00-18:00 UTC), but later, more complicated turns will have to be played in the evening (21:00-24:00 UTC). I'm available for early round weekend blitzes at pretty much any time.

The picking method idea sounds good to me if I understood it correctly. I get 3 civs and a random leader for each of them. I can pick any of those or ask for 3 new pairs?

My playing window is around 19:00 - 22:00 UTC. Morning turns around 05:00 UTC unlikely but occasionally might happen. Blitzes early sounds good also. For those my play window might be possible almost any time when I know in advance.

I'm ok with that picking method.

My best playing window is from 0200 - 0600 UTC.

I'm happy to make up a random draw. So, to be clear: I'll post three leaders (+their civ) in each thread. You'll have the option to claim any of the three. Otherwise, once everyone has chosen to claim or reject, I'll roll another set of three for those that chose to reject. If you rejected in the first round, you're obligated to choose from the second. Sound correct?

Also, I don't know if these games usually pick blind or not, but if the group wants to get starting screenshots before the pick phase, I can do that. It would take a little bit longer, though.
