[Spoilers] PB 66

T15

These ppl are insane. Civforum, jack, civac, magic science all grew to 3?! why arent they building workers? Jack teched BW as expected and I dunno if civac teched Agri or hunting. Which means that there are 2-3 warriors on the map right now. I hope they all try to warrior rush each other.

Miguelito, Gavagai, and Vanrober also grew to 2.

T17

GKC grew to 2. I thought about the B sites quite a bit for cow+fish but I have to settle on the A spots or early development will lag way too much.

T18

Amica grew to 2. GKC teched, and there was a global 2k power increase. GKC doesn't have mining or myst so he must have researched AH also. Wonder why mjmd and superdead are still at 1 pop. Now circling scout to look at the fish site 1st then N->NE.

I am really confused as to what the civforum team is doing. I am sure they have not trained a worker. They only could have grown to size 2 on turn 1 by working 5h per turn to get a workboat on T6 then work 5f seafood. Since then, they grew on T15 and T19. JackRB teched something and there was a global power increase of 2k so not sure if they got Agri or Hunt.

T20

Everyone got landpoints and it was not difficult to work the math out.  Amica+JackRB+civac got 7 tiles each. Superdead and Magic science got 6 starting tiles. The civforum team started with 8 land tiles. From checking demos on T0 after various teams played their turns, I got that Gav+GKC both settled 9 starting land tiles, so both got 10 points for land and 3 points for 3rd pop. (EDIT: GKC did not grow this turn actually) Amicalola+superdead+jack+mjmd had 29 tiles all together so with 7+6+7 from the 1st three that leaves mjmd with 9 tiles. Mjmd also got a tech. I am sure it was not mining since they would have researched that last turn, so I have it down that the zulu's just discovered the wheel (now it makes sense that they researched AH earlier with double prereqs). Van+civac+miguelito had 25 tiles total so Van+miguelito must have both 9 tiles each and these two teams also grew to size 3. Aside from mjmd's TW, there was a 6k global power increase but I think these are just 3 warriors.

In hindsight, this was pure smoke since there was no way GKC would have went wb 1st if they had 9 capital tiles on founding. Oh well.

T21

GKC grew to 3. I was confused for a while since I thought they also grew on T20 but they only got 10 land points last turn. Guessing that civac and Vanrober teched mining and Magic Science discovered BW.

T22

Now I was curious on what Miguelito's team was doing since they only researched AH. I thought they were going for a Hindu gambit but I have their tech down as TW. Surprised it took them longer than expected but I suppose the 2 food commerce tiles I have helped my tech faster than others. It makes sense that superdead discovered BW. Amica and mjmd grew their cap to 3. Now really curious what Gavagai is doing since he has not teched anything since T13 and he doesn't strike me as someone to go for early religion. He should have researched TW by now as well?

The lion was blocking my preferred scout path so the scout will go west and I will move a warrior to scout the NW. I believe GKC and Gav got credit for 11 tiles in their 2nd ring and Vanrober got score for 12 tiles. The former 2 just could have a lake tile in the capital's BFC. Amica teched BW, which is a guess since they last teched fishing on T8. I think Gavagai teched TW since no one founded Hinduism but why was this tech delayed? Maybe he switched tech from Mining?

T24

GKC probably teched mining. civac and Vanrober grew to 4. Superdead grew to 3. Note that a player with cap size 4 is now has top power at 16k. Civac and Vanrober doesn't have BW so this is likely the civforum team. However, to account for mining and this new warrior, this means that 2 warriors died?!

T25

Someone grew their cap from 3 to 4 in addition with land points credited from capital's 2nd ring pops.
civforum got 7 points and likely that this is all from land. Same reasoning for civac.
Math doesnt check out for Amica/Jack since they got 12 points so if you subtract 3 for pop, you get 9 points for land left. They started with 7 tiles so that meants that to get 9 land points, they would need to be currently at 15 tiles but the math shows that Amica/jack must have 14 tiles to match the rival average.
Superdead just grew.
Magic science has been stuck at 3 a long tile so probably building a settler but not improbable that they grew to 4.
It could be either mjmd or Miguelito as well so not really sure (this would mean that their cap has 3-4 lake tiles, which is not good long term for a capital that is all inland).

Should have realized from lowest land area that Magic Science actually grew to 4 on T25 with only 12 capital land earlier.

T26

Amica grew to 4. Jack researched TW i think? Mjmd probably mining. Definite that SD researched Agriculture. Note that someone at size 3 is now the lead in power.

T27

No score increase. But noted a warrior build. Would like stand on the tile 2E of dye but need to explore the possible 2nd ring city sites 1st.

T28

Mjmd grew to 4. Miguelito planted 2nd city with 5 land tiles. Guessing Gavagai researched mining and Magic science TW. The latter grew to 5? Must be working double seafood at least. These city sites look pretty weak. No double food city near by. The wheat and fish doesnt count since I am sure I have to give the wheat to the western gem city.

Explansion plan is to whip the capital twice then grow it to 8 working the pig and 6 1/3 tiles with 1 cottage for 20hammers per turn, which translates into 5t settlers. The 2nd city and 3rd city will also contribute settlers with forest chops and 5->3 whips.

As to wonders. Oracle -> MC -> The Colossus could be good but I expect to be heavily contested. Mids and MoM are always good. Not interested in the stonehenge since having it obsolete at Astronomy means that I have to rebuild my UB in those cities that I didnt build manually. Definitely not interested in the great lighthouse since no foreign trade could backfire as in PBEM76.

Now that I think about it, I might try to Oracle CoL because religion could get competitive and in my rough sim, I was making settlers without adequate worker support.

I'm having a slow brain day. What does Oracle'ing CoL have to do with worker support?
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.

in my sim, i was making settlers so fast that there was not enough worker support so capital could building something else. A library? too bad that its ony working 21ish commerce so the gains is not that impressive. for 60H more, i could get a huge tech boost. The problem being is that oracle is likely to be competitive, especially by the team that researched buddism.

having said all that, im not going go for it after all. T83 seems way too late? Ofc all micro will be for naught until BW and I find the cooper location but fun to just practice.
