I don't see enough complaining about the map.
Edit: In all seriousness, any kind of plan forming? Or is it still to claim the land as best as possible right now? And which way gets priority for expansion: north or south?

I mean, its basically an oasis around what looks like a giant desert? (at least around me) BUT my land is pretty nice. So no complaints yet.
My general plan right now is to race settlers north to get a border region favorable to me/nauf. Keep a defensible force there that cannot be easily overran without being able to see the powerspike coming. ALL while slow-pushing settlers from 1 city south towards the new guy.
My overarching goal is to keep Mjmd at bay, sweep up most/all of the new guy using either praets or praet/cat. I assume ill be able to take him with just barracks promoted praets... but i believe ill be close to Construction by the time his cities are falling. Then build a Concrete wall/fence by Gavagai, and tech to Cuirs or something and break one of their backs.

Popped out a workboat from the capital to send to the 3rd city to go along with its completed pig. It will arrive/be used the turn after the city pops borders, and 2t after the city hits 2pop. About the best i could do shy of whipping it.
Floodplains/city 2 is currently finishing up a scout to take a look to the north and confirm where Rustynauf is and look to see who neighbors them for future uh...
2nd city will also be working the wheat/copper and a floodplains cottage while producing either a worker or settler... cant remember atm what is in the queue. City will build most/all of a warrior to grow b4 swapping.
Capital is currently producing a worker which will help road to the southern cow/ivory city. After which, a settler is behind with a chop or two followed by a whip.
3rd cities 2 workers that completed the pigs, 1 is going to help chop a forest for the capital, the other is roading towards another city spot b4 chopping.

Hmm.. looks like they are all fairly close together. Maybe its the angle, but i feel farther apart from Rick, and (rustynauf?) Is someone hiding in the desert? Could be a possibility. I might have my scout swing nw to check.
I post this screenshot and the next one, because im curious how the lurkeroti would have settled. This is the shit that id love to have a dedlurker for. Finding out the best city locations. I feel like sometimes i dont pick the best spots. Between that, and my overall under-building of cottages and slightly zealous streak..
Anyway.
Obviously, i assume you wouldnt/cant post here. But can look back to the lurker thread after the game/i get conquered. (lol)

No im not teching IW to go to war. Yet. Im teching it to grab the gems up north, so that i can have enough happiness to go to war. Also Praets are a nice way of saying "go screw with someone else" This game im perfectly fine just eating Ricky and then sitting back and teching. Will the game go that way? Probably not. For all i know Gavagai is getting ready to push out 15 WC's on 3 cities to raze/capture Ricky cities. Who knows! I mean, the demo power graph doesnt indicate anyone has much more than 1-2 metal units or a chariot. Im sitting on 2 warriors and im just under 1/3rd of the biggest power. /shrug.

Ok i had the weirdest fucking dream last night. I dreamed Nauf was at 18 cities, and had pushed up to the gems, and even planted a city to try and steal my horses. The horse city was somehow defended by a galley, and dream logic let me capture a city with a chariot, and then the chariot.... gained more movement?? ANYWAY.
Thats not the weirdest part. I somehow found out that Nauf was a pregnant lady that lived next door to my grandparents for some reason. Ended up finding out that we were who we were in civ, by talking about our favorite game(s) ...............................................
SO, how was your night?
Pics to at least give an update that isnt the weirdest post you have seen this year.
