Looks like I can take my bet back off Jkioan too - I'm pretty sure that they aren't in slavery, from the C&D work in NobleLewwyn's thread ...

Yeah Jkioan's lack of coordination probably will cost them the Oracle if that's true. Ellimoogle Carpathia has a pretty good chance if they push hard it seems. Either way, 2 civs will be disappointed, meanwhile Kuro defogs the center continent. I agree Kuro probably has the best deal out of this whole race by not being in it and that the Pyramids would go great for him, but he hasn't expressed any interest in any wonders I don't think.
Also I wonder if diplomacy will do anything else to the Oracle race, but I sort of doubt it since the Oracle will probably be done or close to done before Kuro's WB finds Jkoian or Elli finds Kuro's Galley (or land if the Galley returns).
Now this is how to contrast wonder-centric strategies versus simply buildin' workers an settlers an stuff. Having Stonehenge is nice. Having the Oracle is nice. I'm betting both of those Expansive teams would rather be a couple turns away from six cities and in a REX snowball. I see Kuro as having a great chance here unless his crack-meth habit kills him first.
Seriously, look at Ellimoogle Carp. They had that huge long chat, and their takeaway was..."oh no, we need to hurry or he'll steal the Colossus." Seriously? He's spreading like a plague to your south and his other next-door neighbor has gone monument first. Yeah. Hook up that copper and use your early MC to get Triremes, galleys, and spears guys. This ain't gonna be fixed by chopping out a wonder before he does.

Jkioan said they popped HBR from a hut which I did not take seriously, but now NobleLewwyn C&D thinks they got HBR too. I don't know where their final settings preferences are...

So Ellimoogle Carpathia gain vision on the barb city but still haven't noticed the mysterious combination of 60% culture defense and no visible culture buildings. How long from when they gain vision of the water tile with the GLH until they fort their way into the inner lake and capture it?
