Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

Yeah, reach should be named overreach. Indefensible, and needs a border pop, two work boats and iron working to get going.
I have to run.

I wonder what Commodore actually expects TT to do? =) He criticizes him for being vulnerable, and then again for actually building spears to counter his telegraphed Keshik rush instead of founding random cities to get snapped up. I think that TT is still going to be in a lot of trouble when war comes, due to 2 promo Keshiks being fairly tough units, but I suspect that he'll make the upcoming war a lot more costly for Commodore than the Mongols seem to anticipate.

Nicolae Carpathia Wrote:Edit: Wait, I take that back. Reach is a ridiculous city that, while won't be forked in a single turn, is still indefensible. I'd strike straight past that and leave it to be captured or peace-dealed later. You don't settle in the face of someone with an early offensive UU, with a NAP that ends just as that UU comes into play, without getting punished for it.
Reach is ridiculous, yeah, but as long as TT keeps building units and doesn't do anything stupid I don't see how Comm will be able to take any cities beyond it. Not unless he wants to fight a long, bloody war of attrition, anyway.

It seems like the two Eastern teams are about to dive into an unprofitable ancient era war while Gaspar and Mackoti just tech up and expand. TT will probably lose Reach, but I doubt anything more than that - it seems like he has enough spears to fend off Commodore's keshiks.

I think Comm is really underestimating what he'll need for a successful invasion. He's talking about building a settler and a library while he's on the eve of war. He should be whipping his cities to the ground, making Keshiks and axes. Actually, since TT has so many spears, it might be better to just build pure axes at this point, especially given all the peaks in the terrain.
edit: nevermind, I guess TT only has 5 spears, while Comm has 12 Keshiks and 5 axes...
edit 2: Ceiliazul is supposed to be the Green lol, but he's giving Comm the same advice as me.

Commodore's plan looks pretty sound, I think he'll be able to pull it off. The galley surprise attack strikes me as a tad superflous though, I think those hammers would be better spent on more Keshiks.

I don't think so. TT still has 8 turns to prepare. This is probably not going to go well.

There's more truth to this than you might have intended, Mardoc! lol

Also yeah lost the pyramids. Game: Mackotti.

3 settlers is a sweet offer. But, given how far ahead mackoti is and how much comm has already invested in military, I feel like his only chance now is to try and win a knockout blow against TT.

He could take the offer and send his existing keshiks across the world to annoy Gaspar lol Perhaps not the best idea, but it would be funny to see Gaspar open the save one day with a horde of Mongols coming across his borders.
