So for order it looks like:

Alhazard:  0500 - 0800 GMT
Commodore:  1200 - 1400 GMT
AdrienIer:  1700 - 2100 GMT
ipecac:  2000 - 0000 GMT
yuri:  2300 - 0100 GMT

That look right?  (First player to be randomly determined still.)

Not sure about the civ grouping though, I haven't seen any activity on that in the lurker thread.

Starting screenshots would be great, thanks.

Turn order looks good smile

For leader/civ choice, we could do something like choose 25 potential leaders and civs, randomly assign 5 leaders and 5 civs to each player to choose from. Could lead to some unbalanced choices though

Or we could just not be fancy and do a snake pick

Let's make some progress on this, shall we? smile

If we want semi-randomised picks, here's how I see it

If we remove the three civs we agreed to ban from the pool, there are 31 left. We can randomly split them into 5 groups of 6 and give each group to a player. So everyone will have 6 civs to pick from. The one left out civ can be random, or we can do additional bans (note that India is currently in the pool, although I don't know if Fast Workers are as broken on tiny islands as they are on a pangaea)

America
Arabia
Aztecs
Babylon
Byzantium
Carthage
Celts
China
Egypt
England
Ethiopia
France
Germany
Greece
Holy Roman Empire
Inca
India
Japan
Khmer
Korea
Mali
Maya
Mongolia
Native Americans
Ottomans
Persia
Rome
Russia
Spain
Sumeria
Zulu

Dutch
Portugal
Vikings

For leaders, I thought we could remove all Fin, all Exp, and all Pro leaders from the pool, then give them the same treatment. There are 26 leaders after those traits are removed, so it would be groups of 5, with one leader left out. I could see allowing Exp leaders (except Sury), but feel it would make the choice less interesting

That works for me. Can a kindly lurker randomize those two lists and chop them into 20%s?
