I played it and lost just one axe, i had a lot of luck the second axe won with 44%.

I simmed it 6 times and it worked out them 6times, so i played it.

Now making settlers to catch their speed.


Pd: The screenshot of turn 64 is this one. I post it because ramk doubleturned in war and i doubleturned again to get into normality and in the second turn of the doubleturn i atacked him. this screenshot probes that i didnt ataked in the first one.

During this days i ve been building settlers and workers and trying to catch them up building cities.

The main problem now is that im behind of tech and unable to build anything like science or money and im force to keep building units.

In this capture you can see all the cities i have and where i plan to add some. I have already -16 of gold everyturn wich is kind of a lot, i need to start using this small villages to get some gold coming.

Several civs are asking for open borders and im refusing, i think that will give them more benefits than me. Im not sure if thats right or no.

What's our break even rate for research? I think we're still good in terms of research and stuff right now.

I think it would be beneficial to get open borders since we can get foreign trade routes in our cities while we have none right now. I don't think us declining will lead them to not having foreign trade routes if they can get it from others. It's also just a friendly gesture to accept it as well unless of course you don't want to be friends with them.

Oh quick thing to note I think it's worthwhile right now to start chopping those 3 forests on the river to the south of our capital to open up more riverside cottages. Even if we have nothing too important to speed up with chops having more river side cottages earlier is probably worth it.

I didnt think about trade routs, my bad

I was thinkng of them winning money by spreading religion and getting scout benefits that im not able to get yet. I guess you are right and i need to do it so the maintenace cost doesnt get too much.

Well, i ve seen a city with no defensive unit at just 2 turns far, im not sure if i should declare war and try to take it, he is my closest neightbour and he has several cities near so he would recapture fast and he will be always an enemy after that. Im not sure if i should get into a war with just axes.

I think this is a hard decision for a noob like me, i need your help BAII

   

In this capture you can see my axe (force+20% and vs melee 25%) really close and unsecure city, also you can see how far from my capitol it is. Already making units just in case.

in the turn i saw he introduced an axe so i didnt make the war happen.

Yeah it's a pretty large gamble even if you didn't see any units in there since an axe still takes 2T's to arrive. Usually chariots are much more useful for sniping undefended cities like this. It probably would have been a worthwhile snipe if you think you can capitalize on slowing him down enough to conquer him later.

The problem is that i have no horses yet, the only horses i have near are too close of tundra and high montains and also it was sharing tiles into 3 cities, and i decided no to build that city.

But yeah, now im exploring him nad he has some inter cities undefended and axes around. We will see how this keep going.

Several days without saying a thing, it has been hard for me to do it. Ill try to post more often from now on.

I m in my second city that has no internet, im using the 4G of my phone for sharing data to this old pc, so i have some problems of discontinuity.

Finally got currency, i was getting 3 gold at 0% invest, so it took me a while, now i get almost 30 g for turn and i guess i will be able to investigate quicker.

I have a settler prepared and another coming for making 2 more cities.

Im not sure which city build city 1 or 2? the first one has lots of food and several sharing tiles and less maintenance, the secon city would have more prodution on detriment of food. I guess first one is better but i wanted to ask you.

Pd: I know right that u suggested to get more cottages on the capitol but some barbarians entered on game and fucked some tiles that i thought it was more important to reimprove. Next turn there is 3 workers working on it!
