The only chance I had was to tech up (hence no military) and funnel excess gold to theStick to accelerate his tech rate. When you razed my city and captured my workers that pretty much ended any chance I had to keep teching...the damage was already done. I took a gamble and lost but really the game was decided long ago. You just had too big a lead...testament to how well you played.

Haha, that would have been the most obvious trap for Stick. He'd have been crazy to walk his stack onto flatland. He was also crazy for having a giant stack in collateral range.

I know... I thought that I couldn't fall back into my culture (as standard defensive procedure) since I didn't have any cities behind Chernobyl.

Even abandoning your city was a bad idea, as Arithmetic's borders would pop back to their pre-capture status, stranding your stack in hostile culture.

No good way about it.
