I said i prefere wealth since when i get writting i usually spam libraries. Do you have any preference into the path? do you think delaying currency and writting is a big deal counting with conquering the new cities?

We want writing soonish to get a multiplier so we can more easily reach expensive techs. However it does not do us anything until we have time to actually build the libraries which is after all the unit builds.

If we want to get monarchy and (maybe organised religion) after writing anyway we can priesthood first for a small discount.

If we want to go for currency after writing we should skip the religious route until after currency.

Turn 84

Amica is worried of the little spike we had on power and tried to make sure we are not going to be enemies. Thats exactly what we want. So i asked back.

   

The war is comming. We have 6 axes on the spot we are making another 2 on 2 turns, do we need more? or should we just make HA now? I whiped down 5 cities 2 pop each, that will warn everyone on the game i think. Both amica and mjmd posted something, and that might be helped. Ruff and Amica whiped 2 times. I hope Mjmd didnt whip because he knows we are not going for him.

What i am afraid of is the massive culture that Cumin has. Im not sure what to do with that city of ruff, on one hand i feel that if we stay on that spot the culture of first ring will help to get the horse for us, but on the other hand we lose the copper, so im not sure if thats worth or not. What do you think?

   

The gold situation right now is really bad, i stoped working the cottages and just going fully mines, almost. Im not sure if thats a good play but we lost around 20 gold.

       

On the graphs you can see that huge spike of power we had, but now we are not first because of whiping so much pop. We will next turn i think. The production is crazy.

About culture from cumin. Another reason to raze and replant new madrid on the river grassland hill to avoid the culture crush. He will get the horses but we will keep the copper and can work the other horses.

About economy. I think it is correct. We can soon work the cottages again. After the second wave of horse archers are done and cities regrow after whips we should be fine.

That is a nice power spike =) Looking forward to this war.

If you dont mind i would like to have your help pretty close, ive not fight a lot on multiplayer and i might make several mistakes.

The thing i dont really know is when do you think we will grow if i whip a second time for the second wave its goign to take 20 turns of unhapiness. Not sure if we will be able to grow much with 2 unhappy faces.

What do you think about safety? should we go the safest way (monarchy feudalism) or should we go the best eco (writting currency calendar)

Turn 85

Cairo and Civac are in peace.

I ve been thinking a lot this turn, we will get 3 HA in 1 turn, which means we will have 8 next turn, and for being honest im not sure to keep making units right now. It would be again slow building them unless we keep whiping, which is something im thinking but we have really happy issues, while Mjmd, Noble, civac and Gira got fur, we have not, so we are a bit constrained on that. Im not sure what is going on in mjmd thread that is having more activity than usual, and then i thought that im maybe tempting him too much, there is 1 worker making a mine 2 tiles away of mjmd in raspberry, and i have 3 workers choping a mjmd forest tile on the north. Both groups are undefended, so if he got a chariot could snipe them, im not sure if thats what we want. But i cant really do much right now. I sent hima  fish-fish hoping he sees that im peacefull and i want t safe borther with him and he has no need of worry of our power right now. If he declares before we go vs ruff im even thinking on movign everything and make him suffer for the rest of the game, he stole so much of our land, he told us to go vs ruff and trst him, and if he betrades that ill have no considerations.

So on the micro, Blueberry was 49hammers, so i moved another cottage to get 1 hammer more. Pomegranate has 45h and no way to make 5 more this turn, not even starbing. Lemon, i moved some food for hammers to get the axe on 1 turn, I thought to see if his worker did a road so he could snipe our workers with his axe or whatever other unit, and if that happens move the warrior and axe there so he needs 2 units to kill them. still not sure if it woudl be worth to lose 1 axe on the stack just for this safety. But not sure what to build on that city, next turn ill bring back the food to get next pop in 1 turn, i thought to make the great wall on lemon with the stone and the chop so we get either fail gold or some more culture into mjmd, also getting GGP would be nice i think. But maybe its just better to keep getting units? im not sure.
Raspberry is getting the barracs out, and i thought to get a settler right after, it has several food-hammers and it would be fast, also there is the happy cap and cant grow so it would help.
The capitol i guess its making another HA after this one.
Grapes should get another unit, but im not sure if that unit should be HA or axe.
Blueberry, maybe keep getting hammers on mids? IT has not much production 7h or 8 unless we work the forest instead of chop it, and with mids it will be 12 or 13 hammers so its not bad.
Lingonberry... ive doubt a lot, i thought to double whip a HA and then OF into a granary, but whiping without granary was painful, so i decided to get the granary first and then whip in case we need some units.

As sumary, we have right now 5 HA, 7axes 2 spears, next turn we will have 8 HA and 8 axes (this one a bit far) So im not sure if we should atack with those numbers but do so in 2 or 3 turns, or we should still wait for some more.

       

Demos and graphs... our economy is crap. Production and power is top.

Turn 86

Some weird diplo and moves from Mjmd, i want to know your opinion before playing this out.

       

He asked nack the fish- fish and then tried to tell me something i dont really understand. I think its related to the 3 workers of the city that has the resources he was asking me, he moved several unitstowards us, so i could move everything towards him isntead of ruff and retake the cities he stole us? or meybe it would be better to move the workers back and accept his demands?

           

Also i didnt know what to produce, Cumae has a library i didnt see and poped borders, we still have the tile of the mine but it will change if we dont make some more culture there, so i thought to make a monument in raspberry

Also Mjmd didnt double move like he has been doing this times he ended last, so i think he wants to declare!

Fish for fish signal peaceful intentions. The other I have no idea. ??? Maybe he thinks our workers on the northern forest are roading to attack arpinum. We are spiking hard in power which might make him worry. I would would move the axe in Lemon to cover those workers just to be safe. If the horse archers and workers are ready to go to the staging tile next turn we could war-peace mjmd. This will signal to ruff we mean to attack him but hopefully mjmd plays after him so that he does not see the peace in time.

About number of units. If we have 8 horse archers we at least have a decent stack to attack with. Unless he has a large garrison in his cap we should have odds to take it with that. I would want a few more as reinforcements. If the economy can not take another round of whips you can just finish the ones you have now and only build them in high production cities. In cities that are about to grow into unhappiness you can start workers and settlers.

I checked in to the game to look. I think you are right and we enough forces right now. Everything can be on the staging tiles next turn. Good job on the micro front there. Then we can attack turn 88. We should take the second half of the turn timer then.

That means we should be able to switch the cities back to economy. Building lighthouses, a settler, workers, pyramids.

Tech. I think we should be more worried about eco right now and go for writing, math, currency. If we get more cities we will want that sooner rather than later. After that we can go for monarchy, organized religion and feudalism. Getting started on a scientist for a golden age soon would be good so start teching writing now.

So you think mjmd doesnt want to atack us? then why didnt him double move? he did move all the units he had around out of the cities, if he spect to be atacked you dont move the units out right? I sent him the fish fish first so he knew we were not atacking.

You think now that we should war peace mjmd? Im really scared to declare since he seems to want to kill us. If we want the 8HA in possition we need this turn and the next. 

So if i understand correctly you suggest me playing as planed and forget the threat of mjmd and prepare for war against ruff right? 

About units/economy, i have no idea how to evaluate that, im working mines instead of cottages, if i work those the econony will become better but im unsure if it will be good enough. If we have 2 unhappyness it will be 4 pop the max, so unless we just work cottages we wont have a good gold income, not sure if you think the same.
