first to second city is always a good milestone. Do we have micro plans for the third and fourth settlers?

Turn 34 - 2640 BC

I moved the scout 3 last turn. I agree in that we may be better off scouting near our land. We're going to be pressed for exploring units at the moment while we run a farmer's gambit.

I did not end turn, just in case we want to move the capital to working a 2f 1h tile, or something like that.

Scout move 7 next turn? And it looks like Care Bears actually have furs as well. I'm wondering where our non-gold early happiness resources are located. lol

As mentioned earlier, we are tied for second in getting a second city.

Care Bears: Turn 28
Us: Turn 33
Blame Caledorn: Turn 33

Score changes:

Mansa Musa: 65 -> 67 (population point)
Darius I (Team Dinosaurs): 60 -> 66 (a tech)

I've been really busy lately --- sorry about that. I'll try to get some more detailed micromanagement plans ready soon.

Diplomacy: No new messages yet from either team we've met.

Reminder: Switch research back to 100% next turn.

Furs - nice. We could hope our team has Furs near wheat also.

As an options for scout move: 2-7 or 2-4. I like 2-7.

0/3<->2/1: let me think about it a bit more, maybe will do some sims in next 2-3 hours.
Did you sim it yourself?

Fun fact: we are first team to 2nd city without whips. And team GG(Rome) whip something(worker?) few turns ago. They tried to hide it too.

Look at rival worst population: Team BlameCaledorn whip settler 2->1 and now have 2 cities with pop1 both. Not optimal, imo.

whipping a city to size 1 to get a settler the same time as us? what the hell was their opening?

I did a sim in post 292 of this thread. I think that micromanagement plan is good for up to Bronze Working, when we'll want to switch to slavery.

I kept it at 3H but if it means we grow faster (i.e. a population point sooner) if we switch off of the 3H and into a 2F 1H tile I'm fine with that.

My schedule has been crazy busy lately -- really sorry about that. I'll try and get some plans up this weekend. Fortunately, we don't need a new MM plan that soon.

Most likely they go wo>wo>settler. Still suboptimal, imo.

It wasnt optimal sim. Too many workers raise our unit expences. And we can't work all improved mines after slave settler.

But I think fastest settler for city#3 while have only 2 workers and no roads isnt optimal also.
