Astronaut without sin confounds press, invites trio to control civilization

Thanks, but I wasn't really online for that either. Anyway I found a few minutes and played it.

Apparently, Luddicator don't want to be our friends:

Our scout will die this turn.

Up north, YNL founded their fifth city with their naked settler. Our war chariot moved out of their borders. We could DoW and raze the city next turn if we want to. I don't think we want to, YNL is in last place IMO, even if he's 1st in GNP this turn. (In fact the option didn't occur to me until writing this. If we wanted to raze the city we should have moved onto the hill 1S of the WC, to keep visibility of the city.)

I'm not sure if Sian's founded the 5-tile island. Adrianople's third ring culture is leaking onto the island, though.

We competed three workers this turn, we're up to L now. Suggestions for sins starting with J and K are welcomed (I went with Jadedness and Killing). smile
Here's our military:

Mackoti stole the jungle that Seven ceded to him (wink):

What's nice though is that Ganymede reached 250 culture at EOT, so we'll have good visibility on our border there. If we settle the hill between the gold and clams, we'll have an easy border to defend, at least. Titan is building a settler for that hill. I do think we should hurry up and claim the banana/sugar/clams spot up north though. Callisto can 3-whip a settler next turn or 2-whip a settler in 2 turns. Ganymede is also on a settler, for the third spot on the southern island.

After those spots, what remains to be settled is our five tile island (it's an exposed spot now due to Mackoti's aggression), the filler city west of Io, and the third spot on the northern island.

Demographics and top five cities:

Ganymede and Callisto are competing for fifth place on that list.

L has to be Lust. J can be Jealousy.

Nice. We have Envy on E but I guess Jealousy is not the same thing. For L I used Laziness, although the biblical term is Sloth, I suppose.

Our other workers are:
Avarice
Belligerence (should have been Blasphemy)
Cowardice
Drunkenness
Envy
Fury
Gluttony
Hypocricy
Infidelity

So what's happening in this picture. Mackoti has wisely covered two workers with two Phalanxes to improve the pigs at Ephesus. He's also got a galley threatening Luna. He'd have to declare to see what's defending it, though. My guess is that galley's empty and was used to ferry stuff to the Ephebe spot earlier. We know Mackoti's got three Phalanxes at Ephebe, I kind of doubt he's spared more military than that for his northern front.

Anyway, I 3-pop whipped a settler in Callisto, and if Mackoti DoW's and moves on Callisto, it can overflow to military. Luna is defended by an axe, which is all the resources I'm prepared to use on that city.

The settler from Callisto will move to Sugar spot barely visible in the top of that screenshot. Workers are laying down roads now. Io will provide a work boat, but...

...might have to finish that WC first. YNL have a galley approaching. Io's borders expanded at EOT, which means that if YNL is just scouting he should move S-SE and can't attack the turn after. If he moves S-S warning bells will be ringing, and we'll be completing that WC.

I think the Galley's empty though, and unloaded a settler and axe on that island earlier. For the galley to have moved from the T62 sign to where it is now, I'd say it moved NE into a city and then E(?), then S-SE to its current spot on T63. It has to have moved through the island to end up pointing SE, at any rate.

Down south our scout was killed by barbs. Here's our latest scouting information from the north.

And here are the demographics.

Crop yield especially is pretty awesome. And we'll be hooking three seafood the next two turns.

And population!

All those large cities you have.
And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

Indeed.

So when I say Ephesus I mean Pharsalos, of course. And I realized YNL could still attack even if he moves S-SE with his Galley, as you don't lose movement points by being booted upon a DoW.

Lots of border tension is making this game interesting. A bit like PBEM17 but without the diplo.

I'd say no harm in making sure you have a decent defence (but then I would). The other teams are likely to be gunning for the clear score leader.
