Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

It sounds like a fine interpretation for the player who's first in the turn order. Second in the turn order, maybe not so much. dubious.gif

Well, it's unlikely we'd agree on a standard interpretation which arbitrarily benefitted someone other than the first player. And again, players can easily decide on a different definition. This is just to avoid confusion in cases where it hasn't been specified, I know from experience how badly that can go.

I think it should last for X number of turns per player upon acceptance of the NAP, but that can be impractical to track retroactively. For example, let's say I have a 60 turn nap with xenon. 55 turns from now, I'm all set to attack him. Am I to remember who's half of the turn it was accepted on? If it was accepted after his turn, but before mine, why should he be able to cut it short 1/2 a turn and get the jump on me because of turn order? Ive already bitter about turn order.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around what advantages and disadvantages turn order provides. Regarding NAPs and any theoretical attacks coming out of one, I'm not sure how the turn it ends makes any difference. No matter what, someone is going to have the opportunity to draw first blood.

Someone is going to get a first strike advantage, yeah. If we want to impose a handicap on the players earlier in the turn order, we could swap the default so it automatically expires at the start of the turn of the player who's last in turn order. But again, it's best to just negotiate when it expires as that's a decent sized bargaining chip. I will make sure to do so in NAPs from now on.

Is it correct that resolutions are on except for diplomatic victory?

I believe that is the case, yes.

I'll be away from the computer this evening (from around 6 PM in my timezone, that is 4 PM GMT), so there will be a delay in me passing the save on.

Azza, is the save with you? Not in a hurry, just wondering if Sareln missed his window.
