Did someone of you know if the map wrap configuration is public?! I do not know if the setting in the file is correct. (Superdeath is already pm'ed)

Another thing that will haunt those players is that barbs will enter their borders almost immediately when they spawn. This is because the all settle so many cities during the first turns.

Well, Cairo only has one city, doesn't the affect the barb mechanics? (For him, at least?)

Ok, opinion on who won the advanced start portion of this game. I think I played around with advanced start once so I have no idea. We have 1 big city vs 3 cities, with a couple people on 2.

In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."-Old Harry. PB48.
I think maybe The Black Sword (!). That third city is rough.
I thought Cairo was making a very questionable choice but 6 worked flood cottages by T31 has me reconsidering. I want to see how the other pumped starts compare to that.
Im just not seeing how Cairo can claim enough land with that capital vs someone else..
TBS did a doozy, and that 3rd city certainly isnt all that great.. but id put him still finishing 1st-2nd with Commodore being the main contender right now based on the starts.

I think from the normal openings Tbs was the worst, he risked and lose but his skill for sure will overcome that. I agree, I think he didn't realize the settler cost goes down when purchasing in advanced start - so it is cheaper to buy settlers than put cities as imperialistic leader.
