SAVE the DATE - fairly common expression

WATCH - Someone on watch or a watch have a mission to save people. 

I would probably go with the first three ones.

Yikes, another one of those clues where a plausible argument can be made for most of the words on the board:

Save a LIFE.
With an AMBULANCE?
Engaged couples send out a "save the DATE" card for their wedding.
You can save a ROSE by pressing it in a book.
Lots of PAPER gets saved (e.g. tax returns).
People save STRING.
A snapshot of a game is called a save STATE.
God save the Queen (and ENGLAND).
Ecologists want to save the AIR and STREAMs.
Save a SPOT (in BED?).

My leading candidates: LIFE, DATE, SPOT, but I'm very open to discussion.

Again, many possibilities. The ones that jump out at me are:

Save the DATE
a Save STATE
Save a LIFE
Save PAPER (by not printing this email)


After reading spoilers, Save me a SPOT is also pretty common.
Given that this is a gaming forum, I'm inclined to guess:

LIFE --> STATE --> SPOT

I could be talked into DATE, but it is a old-fashioned expression.

Edit: After thinking about it some more, STATE is a possible Fusion word, so maybe we should leave it to Blue?
I definitely think we should leave AMBULANCE alone. If AMBULANCE and LIFE are both red, superdeath would have given us a different clue that didn't trip over quite so many words.

Hmm, that`s a tricky clue. We have lots of options here.

I think that LIFE and DATE are our best bets. An AMBULANCE can save lives. That`s a pretty clear connection imo. I`m not convinced on either of STATE or SPOT. 

So, it looks like we agree on LIFE at least.

I think if you wanted to clue LIFE/DATE/AMBULANCE, you would go for something like Birth 3 (which can only misfire on BED?), rather than Save 3, which links to so many words. That's why I am against AMBULANCE.

I am on board with DATE since we all picked up on it, but I really think either STATE or SPOT is more likely to be our third word. (I lean SPOT because STATE is a possible Fusion word.)

I agree that DATE next makes sense. Lets see if that`s correct too and then reassess.

So far so good. I lean STATE over SPOT next but it does indeed come with a risk of being blue.

I'm fine with STATE or SPOT. I agree that SPOT is a safer guess.
