@SD about the map without much water mentioned in mod thread. I vaguely recall such a request.
PW: Puck (wife's favorite). I'm still noodling naming themes, but like opponent analysis, after I get back. I did make my usual spreadsheet.

IIRC, you were the only one to request that. If it helps, its not an Islands map and you arent dealing with Old Harry
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. ![[Image: noidea.gif]](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/noidea.gif) In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Played 1st turn.
I generally don't like settling island cities early because of the extra cost of the galley slows you down from grabbing mainland, but man for fish and grassland silver.... To be fair I probably care least about tech rate in this game, so we'll see.
I have not done a ton of micro, so if its Saturday don't play after agri finishes. Have to choose between going BW and going for AH. Pretty sure its BW from early runs. Chop out settler then another worker at 2 pop. Man I miss India workers, but if I settle for 1st ring corn as second city the timing is ok (chop hill then chop forest next to corn).
Micro:
Work PH until work boat done
Change to working fish (doesn't affect worker timing) - build worker after WB
T15 worker
Look very closely at land area. Only Gira hasn't settled and everyone so far has water. Surprised we didn't have more financial.

Alright, I'll play in the evening.
By my gut feeling I'd also say BW first.
Did I understand well that you'll be back on Saturday?

I think AH was a turn 30 settler, but cap at size 3. BW was settler turn 27 at size 2 and then a worker I think T31 (no revolt). BTW I really don't like that forest south of the corn. Would be a nice spot for trade routes, but had to have a forest there to delay settling by a turn. Not that we know where to settle yet. Adding a dry corn with second city isn't the most exciting.
Yes I will be back later Saturday here in the US.

played turns 1 and 2:
so, seems like gira has the only landlocked capital then?
Can you follow the reports on mobile or am I sending those into the void? If you're reading, I understood my mission as "meet someone NE, then circle back". So following thorugh with 2NE next turn, taking care not to miss any possible BFC tiles on the sea.

Traveling so not in a void yet. Gira didnt settle in place. Spot scout on looks nice later.
Keep going along coast. If it gets to be absurd distance like my scouting in pb52 turn around. Or a block of forest / jungle/ hills that looks like it goes for a bit post and discuss.

I get the feeling we're not on an archipelago . Really no further idea yet.
Also I'll likely play the next 2 turns back to back tonight, so it would be good to know if I should follow NE.
If you want to judge by the pic then I can also sit on it of course, but I'll only have a window the other evening, so would hold the game up (but if you think it's important that's justified of course)
