@Adlain: Haven't had a chance to look at the vids yet, but I saw the Pheonix Wright adaption of Boot to the Head, assuming this is the same thing.

Ah the old Defencive Pact merely equals a declaration of war nothing more bit. Harsh. But if i started reaching into the old noggin for stuff on Contract Law i think i'd just piss people of trying to have a fun game...
Sounds like you havn't had the best of luck with Allies Whosit. Is there anyone who has been... you know... loyal?
This Pink dot stuff is interesting. Amazing how insidious the British language is for picking up (stealing) new words. Any other terminology things i should know?

This. This right here should be our city names. Or Unit names. What amount of Characters are we allowed?

Ha ha. I think the limit is 15 characters, sadly (including spaces). I'll double check that, unless a lurker confirms first. So we couldn't get it all in one city name. "A few x short of a y." 21 characters with just the X and Y. We may be able to come up with something, but it may also be a stretch. The first thought that comes to my mind is to name our Civilization something along the lines of the generic statement, with our cities being named something like "Slices/Loaf." Sadly, that leaves it to our opponents to fill in the blanks. It could easily be misinterpreted.
If any lurkers have an insight into how we could make this work without defeating the purpose, please chime in!
Oh, I forgot a classic one: A few eggs short of an omelette. Mmm... omelette.
Also: Ninja boot to the head! That was a good one, Adlain.

For "x short of a y" variants and other insulting metaphors, Weird Al's Genius in France in the style of Frank Zappa is not bad. :D (Possibly a bit overwhelming though.)
As for the city names, I'm not sure how to make that work. The 15 character limit is really irritating!

Traitors and Betrayers are bit tricky. I mean couldn't all the founding fathers of america count seeings as the turned traitor on the monarchy system of england? Suddenly this naming scheme seems a bit iffy in terms of political baiting... I'm thinking we need some snazzy ones instead of political ones... but we can't win them all.
(Yes i'm trying to apologise in advance if some of these are wrong or people view them as national heroes instead of traitors... *shrug* )
You could keep going for ages but i'm not sure how many names we need. On a typical Realms Beyond 6 player map how many cities do you usually end up having to name?
Factual Traitors
- Guy Fawkes (Tried to blow up the British Parliament while they were in session on November the 5th)
- Brutus (Arranged the Assassination of his uncle Julius Ceaser)
- Judas Iscariot (Betrayed the Religious Icon Jesus Christ)
- Benedict Arnold (Tried to Sell out the American people during the Revolution)
- Philippe Pétain (Sold out France to the Nazi's)
- Robert Hanssen (American FBI agent who sold names of moles to the Russians)
- Rosenbergs (Sold atomic secrets to the Russians)
- Tsao Tsao (Chinese warlord who kept the last Han Emporer as a puppet while warring with two other rival kingdoms in the name of "peace")
- Jane Fonda (Nicknamed "Hanoi Jane", supported the North Vietnamese military against the United States in the 1970s. Managed to escape conviction.)
- Mary, Queen of Scots (English Queen plotted to dethrone and kill her sister to restore Catholic Worship in the land)
Fictional Traitors
- Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars: Betrayed the Republic for the possibility of saving his wife from a flimsy prophecy)
- Lord Vadar (Star Wars: Betrayed the Empire to save his son from certain death)
- Peter Petigrew (Harry Potter: Betrayed his friends and their newborn son for unspecified reasons)
- Boromir (Lord of the Rings: Wanted the Ring of Power)
- Iago (Othello: Shakespears master manipulator. Not sure it counts as a betrayer)
- Mcbeth (The Scottish Play: Better example of a Shakespearian Traitor)
- Morgan le Fay (Mythological Traitor to Arther Pendragn and Merlin)
- Edmund (Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe: Betrayed his siblings through Naivety and Greed)
- Lando Calrissian (Star Wars: Betrayed Han Solo. Did a Heel-Face-Turn so might not be applicable)
- Cypher (The Matrix: Turncoat Freedom Fighter wishing to trade a hapless 3rd world existence for a golden barred illusion)
- Robert the Bruce (Braveheart: Betrayed Scottish freedom fighter William Wallace and gave up on Scottish Independence)
- Mr. Orange (Reservoir Dogs: The undercover cop who is killed by his friend Mr. White after his allegiance is revealed)
- HAL (Does this need explaining?)
- Obadiah Stane (Iron Man: So much of a magnificant bastard that everyone saw his being a traitor instantly. Something in the voice perhaps?)
- Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribean: Who doesn't he betray?)
- Jafar (Aladdin: The Sultans sidekick whatever who tried to take the throne with magic)
- Thoth-Amon (Conan: Pretty sure this Big Bad has turned Traitor on enough people to rank)

Thanks for putting that list together, though you do bring up a good point about the perspective thing. As for how many cities we'll have, it really depends on the map. I think we'll be getting a slightly "spacious" map, so I imagine we could have from 10 to 20 cities depending on just how much space and how we use it.
I can't quite tell from your post, but did you want to change naming schemes? (Or not, since the character limit is relatively low?)

I liked the idea of cards short of a deck and sandwichs short of a picnic. But as was pointed out the 15 Character limit stops that. So sticking with traitors works.
Which ones do you like for first picks?

I'd start with Fawkes, since it's a classic.
Or:
CardShortADeck (14 characters)
ChipShortADip (13 characters)
[strike]DropShortAGallon (16 Characters)[/strike]
DropShortAPint (14 Characters)
FryShortAMeal (13 Characters)
PageShortANovel (15 Characters)
A bit clumsy, but if we pick carefully, it can be done. What do you think? And we could name our Civilization, um... Geniuses in Maya?

Split it between two cities?
City 1: "A few bricks"
City 2: "Short of a load"
Edit: Or, do it Limey style and substitute "Shy" for "Short" to save two characters.
