Lighthouse lakes are probably worth it.

Are they?
One cottageable FP for two Lighhouseable lakes and two non resource coast......hmm. Not a good deal IMO.
Early access to salt water can be very handy, but I wouldn't factor the Lakes into the equation.

don't forget the horses! novice hasn't revealed them yet, but seven settled in the same place because of the horses.
With the horses, I like that city more than the desert hill.

hmm, just noticed that team bad news bears (really sad Gaspar didn't take my advice and rename his civ this) has a different map here than 7 and novice do. their sheep is 1 SE of the eastern floodplains, rather than 1 E, and the grassland hill is 2 S of the flood plains instead of 3.
Assuming horses are in the same place (only 7 has AH yet, so hard to tell) I think this gives them an advantage. Unlike 7 and novice, they can settle and get both lighthouseable lakes without having to settle on a floodplains. It looks like theeir current dotmap will do so, with another nice city to grab the copper.

You'll see less and less repetition the further out from the mirrored capitals you go.

That said I still don't agree with settling that fp.
You really think so?

If the granary doesn't win it, Seven/Mackoti wanting so badly to beat each other and Team Gaspar getting depressed when the first thing goes wrong will.

can we just call them the bad news bears? That sounds so much better than "team gaspar"

So no.
Honestly, it's too early to tell. Depressive as Gaspar is, the meat of his plan is working out perfectly. Novice always is in the early lead, it remains to be seen how he does when stuff gets sharper, although the builder-oriented map (which I think was requested) certainly boosts his odds. Seven and Mack will fight, it's a given, but they aren't prone to fight to the death early on. And poor neglected Serdoa is Joao of Inca...he'll be a factor in the end, no doubt.
