PBEM 8 organisation thread

Sorry, home from work.

My timeslots are US Central time, before work (0530 - 0700) and after (1600-2300 or so). Let's see, Central is GMT -6, so that makes my times 2330 - 0100, and 1000 - 1700 or so.

Japper is Netherlands?

Yup, so is Alhambram IIRC.  wink

We also use CET here, somewhat ironically thanks to a certain Austrian who I'll not name here wink

CET evening for me (say 1800-0300) occasionaly in the afternoon if I get back from uni early.

FFA please, with ingame Alliances available at will (as they are getting an interesting overhaul)

Fine with any picking method, just get me a civ!

Silly snakepick idea: you pick your civ in one pass, and get to select a city-state class to start next to in the other pass, possibly with the option to pick a particular one. First pick gets the most broken civ they can find, but probably has to deal with an Industrial city-state, while sixth-pick can decide if they want to turbocharge their early Science or their Culture.

World builder does not have an option to select city states. The locations for the city states are set, but the type and specific one are always completely random

Great idea, Quagma, if we could allocate city states.

I like the snake pick and I like that we have a map ready when everyone had their toes into the expansion.

I would suggest we start this baby as soon as Cornflakes has a map and get our civ picks done so we can startup a forum, threads and theorycrafting and give the popcorn gallery a Lurker thread.

I think snake pick sounds good, but I have no experience with how it works.

We have

TheArchduke
Chevalier Mal Fet
Alhambram
Japper
Rowain
Emperor K

for six players.

So either we go with 36 civs and do not ban Scythia.

Or we can make things easier and I will get

5 civs to choose from and everyone 6. I liked our PBEM # 6 pick.

Chevalier and Emperor K go first or all the european players.

Cornflakes would you roll us some civs? 5 for me, 6 for the rest.

Like Alhambram said:

A possible compensation for 3 players with just one expansion leader, 3 most recent DLC civilizations (Nubia, Khmer and Indonesia) shall be rolled for this group players.
Just a idea.

If we keep ridiculous civs like Nubia and Zulu in I'm fine with keeping Skythia in as well.

Also time for a subforum!

Will ask for it.

Also Cornflakes if I could hassle for one more small thing, please randomize the turn order. But keep the two american time slots together. Thanks!smile

Does snake-pick work in Civ 6? ie can you choose a leader seperate from civ ? (except Greece and soon India)

I very much prefer roll 5 or 6 civs per player and choose from that list.

FFA with in game alliances allowed.

City-trading ok if it is a border-city of the 2 trading partners but no settling/gifting city to an otherwise dying civ (to give the winner more WW nono )

Time-zone: Wien-Austria wink so CET (and from end of March on CEDT) = GMT +1 (+2). Playtime either morning (07 AM - 08:00 AM sometimes 08:30) or evening (06 PM till 10:30 PM) in my time.
In GMT : 06 AM - 07 AM (from end of march on: 05 AM - 06 AM) or 05 PM - 09:30 PM (04 PM - 08:30 PM).

I prefer the morning.

I'm fine with leaving Scythia in

(let's hope I don't spawn next to the Archduke, who proceeds to rush me with a massive horseman army and make me eat these words). If someone DOES take them, well, we can test how balanced the new anti-cav units are.
