Another hint for extra-safe checks of units and so on:
Pause the game. It's still possible to select units and open cities, but you can't give orders or change things.
Also, let me re-state that if the game is paused when logging in, the game admin threads should be checked first. If the game is unpaused, a message about it should be made in the server thread.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

Actually, this is incorrect. Any orders given while the game is paused will be initiated as soon as the game is unpaused. Pausing offers no protection against misclicks, just a delayed response - which is possibly even worse, since the misclick may go unrecognized until the next login or later.
Though repeatedly pausing and unpausing does allow you to finish your whole turn if (for instance) there's only 15 minutes on the clock when you login.

People should log in with a new nick each time to make civstats harder to read and so autosaves aren't overwritten. /onlypartiallytrolling
How have people played pitboss for eight years without figuring out a way to get proper autosaves?
I have to run.

Sullla - when I first started the turn last time, there was 1-2 random units that also had go-to orders on them. Our scout in Apolyton's land was the main offender I'm thinking of, but I feel like there was another one somewhere. So I'd suggest logging in, pausing, then taking a look around to make sure we don't have any more stray explore orders or anything.

Can you do alt + backspace to cancel orders on all units prior to moving? I'm not in game now and don't know if that is the correct shortcut.

I think we need to replay the misclicks. Not doing so is an extremely scummy move imo. Sullla can go ballistic on me for saying so as he likes.

We're also replaying combat where we are, on average, likely to lose 1-2 more units than we did, so it evens out. I also don't see any reason to redo the misclicks when we didn't gain any intel from them. If we had gained visibility which changed our strategy, sure, but we gained nothing from those.

No, only documented misclicks by the turnplayer, that we don't ask for an IMMEDIATE AND MANDATORY reload for.

So we've got a reload that arguably shouldn't have been granted, not because of a bug but because of one of our mistakes, and this caused another reload that was also our fault, because of our failing to read the game's public thread, and because of this reload we're going to take advantage to fix yet some more of our mistakes that were already played. This rubs me the wrong way, and it's the last I'll say about it.
