Yes ... the blue team is Scooter.  And here is the game's first notification of a conflicted region.

It looks like I have water (with islands) to my north and east.
It looks like Scooter has water to his north and west.

We can both expand south west.  See those mountains ... they are roughly the center of trouble.
In fact, I will stick a sign on them and call them Conflict Mountains.

Let me count the number of hills in my BFC ... 1, waiting, waiting, waiting.  No - only 1.
Let me count the number of hills I can see in Scooters BFC ... 1, 2, 3 ... maybe 4 two north of the wheat.
Hopefully, while I am food heavy, he is food staved.

Scooter has only met me because his scout ran into a fight and got injured. I found my first lion today. No +100% animal defense sucks.

I avoided the animals ... so far, so good.  Still only city of size 2 but most people will be finishing their worker about now.

Edit: I meant to add that elephants on a tile clear the tile of forest / jungle.  Or they appear to.  I made a mistake last turn (it didn't really cost me anything) so I have put a market on the phants.

I have copper.  Well, when I say, I have ... what I really mean is I can see it.  I challenge any of my readers to place this copper in a worse position.

And look where Scooter's copper is.  Talk about a lucky move of your capital.  Copper in the BFC and stone right next door.

I will not be able to rush scooter, the land to the south is jungle ... and I am not completely sure where Nauf is ... directly south or south west.  There is probably someone else on one of those slots because I know that Nauf has met someone else (I don't get is full 4 EPs on me).

As such, I will push to grab two cities on this land mass (red circle first, then purple) and then back fill north and west.  But ... my major push this game will be to those glorious (they better be!) islands to my east and north.  I think I am in the northern hemisphere (jungle to my south) and I am hoping that the north island will be uncontested.

I was flip-flopping between farming and sailing for the next tech ... but if I am doing an Island rush / push, then all pennies in one basket, hand on and ride it!   Sailing it is.

Scooter's city has grown to size 2 and he has completed a farm on his wheat.  But no mine on his copper.

I am still running 3rd based on the scoreboard.
