[SPOILERS] Gira under Pindicator's surveillance

I might go N-NW instead
Ah, that's right!
N-NW?  You mean the grass tile?

Yes, since there aren't any barbarians yet the world the odds would be would be our 3 strength against the 2 strength of an animal.

Nice area with many river tiles.  A food tile would be great around here.  I will wait to reveal the north to start planning the cities.
Now I would go NW-NW.

Pindi, could you play the turns of tomorrow and Saturday? I will be off.

I m afraid of bears, overall.

Yes, I agree with the scout move and I can take the turns those days.

Bears are still a fight in our favor. We also get a 20% bonus versus animals due to it being Monarch difficulty, so it might be like 60% but it will still be in our odds. For one turn there it was just better to uncover more tiles.

Contact with Elkad of Mayas.  He must be in the North.  Next scout move W-SW to the hill, I guess there is no more land so we will uncover several tiles (7), and afterwards we can start to plan the cities situation, althought copper can modify our plans.  The problem is that we will reveal copper 1 or 2 turns before the first settler.

I think I can play next turn, so I will post when you should play.

T015.

Cows are done and producing.  The Scout didn't uncover as many tiles as I wish, so he should go west after Elkard's to see the ocean.   ("should" is a suggestion of course)

Pindicator, could you please play the next 2 turns?
Reply

I will get the next 2 turns.

I also think we should go to where Elkad's scout is to see what is in the ocean next.

Up north, I cannot tell if we have an island to our west or if the land connects again farther north.

And I did not realize that we also have horses in the south!

Will move scout E-E next, and aim for the plains hill E-E-E-NE in 2 turns.

I zoomed out for a big picture

I think the best 3 spots that it makes sense to settle are either:

1.  On top of the western elephant.  Settling on top of a plains elephant is a 2h plant.  We can share the fish from the capital and have another work boat ready for when the city hits size 2.  Downside is this takes 4 turns of movement for the settler to get there.
2.  3 tiles East of the capital.  We can share the cows and the fish both with the capital, and then when borders expand in the new city we get to get to improve sheep.  This won't grab a lot of new land, but with all the shared bonus tiles it will grow fast.

I don't think we should settle to the south first, as that seems to be settling towards tundra and away from other players.  Also, I want to explore more around the silver and horse area before deciding where a city should go.

I also marked where animals were seen with signs.

Thanks. I can make next move. Don't you think we should move the Scout North to see where is Elkad? If he is near ithe Northen cities can be contested.

Also, don't you think that getting the east horses could be a good resource for dealing with the first barbars?
