Kyan's PBEM50 Thread [SPOILERS]

Ok, so, it's been an average start. I'm not overly enamoured by our capital. Dry corn and hill pigs, but separated by forests and hills means I've lost my advantages from having the worker quicker.

In addition, Thoth did the correct move and hung around on our corn for a bit, trying to force us to construct a warrior. Instead, I farmed the floodplains first which wasted more workers turns and cost us about 6 food overall. Always war is what it is.

We were the first to a second city, as you can tell by the Land Area on turn 22:

This is the most updated situation, end of the turn from this morning:

We currently have two workers and two cities. In 3 turns, we'll have another worker and in 4, we'll have another settler. We're researching wheel, to be followed by pottery. Capital will build the settler (aided by chop) followed by growing to 4 on a warrior then 2 pop whipping another settler before regrowing on warriors.

Second city will finish it's worker then grow on warriors. Hamburg will churn out workers when it's a bit bigger before switching to a commere hybrid later.

Third city will go at the marked crab, copper, silver, sheep location. Fourth city will, depending on Thoth, try and secure that NW border. It's a 1 tile isthmus which will be adjacent to Thoth's copper source. As such, it will need adequate defences. It won't have them. Of course.

I'm away from the 18th until the 25th June inclusive. I would really appreciate if you could cover these turns for me.

Lastly, is there any kind soul who would cover my civ between 18-25th June inclusive?

I can leave you plans, but you'll likely need to have to make some independent decisions to cover for unpredicted barbarian incursions etc.

I can cover most (if not all) of that period. Plans are appreciated smile

Thank you. Signs left ingame. Capital will grow to size 4 then finish it's settler (switching back for chops incoming). I then intend to 2pop whip out a granary before growing back.

City 2 is to finish worker then grow to size 3.

Worker 1 (W1 ingame) is to finish his chop then head towards the horses, partially building a road en route. There will be one wasted worker turn but I can live with that. Worker 2 is to finish his chop and then head towards city 3 (the copper location).

Tech should be set to 0% next turn and then we'll hit up pottery and fishing. Newly built warrior will head to city 3 as city 2 will finish it's own. MASSIVE farmer's gambit, but what's new? Look at this company, we settle for mediocre or we gamble for gold. I'm not as good as some of these guys, I know that, but I just can't play for third. It doesn't sit well. Let's roll the dice.

T24 report.
Workers mining/chopping. C1 puts a turn into warrior before switching to take a chop. C2 finishes worker. Save money for a turn.
No interesting scouting.

Wow big turn.
We met Serdoa/Ichabod out of the fog:

Quite close...
And our scout found Krill:

I'll move him cautiously around Krill (there's no circumnav right?) to try to get a peek, before looping back to us.

Where did you meet Serdoa?

And yeah, the map script is designed to be 1% below the circumnav limit IIRC

I apologise, wrong team.
Ichabod has novice not Serdoa.
