*Really* crash that economy, woo!

Here's a bit closer of a look at ye olde Useless Boartit. It's not a particularly inspiring city, but it doesn't need to be what with two flat grassland sheep and plenty of capital cottage tiles to cultivate. Whip crap, grow, whip more crap, grow...etc, etc. Maybe rush in a nice shiny Great Scientist, I dunno.
24X24 is almost 50% larger than 20x20, but it's still darned tight here. I'm already surrounded; see the faint blush of ANZAC Indian to the west. It's okay, though, means he's paying ugly-high maint already, plus makes the stone reach more awkward. My chariot, as seen, is already veteran of a barbarian fight on the first turn of its existence.
I'm so very aimless right now. Need to stop drifting like this.

The Rustics wax strong; even baking out Stonehenge, and why bake our Charismatic totem poles all over? Crop yield is also decent, which is shameful considering the great dearth of improved pastures in the borders above. I believe I'm first to Writing, so Math will help make up that hammer difference; over-all, I am pleased with my progress. Power, overwhelming reassuring!

Okay, need more cottages, but starting to roll 'em out.

...thing is, this capital is a bit tricky...it totally has enough food surplus for them, but most of the riverside land is plains, so instinctively I expect people to shy away from it. Nonetheless, it is essential to make this riverland village'd ASAP.

Daddy found himself a big pretty pinata full of juicy experience!
...and apparently, Ruff agrees with the "chariots, good huh" philosophy. Not the safety plan on the bottom of the screen.
Okay. In other foreign news, Judaism fell, for some reason. Okay, hittin' more barbs and going towards Currency.
I was planning on damaging Ruff's C1 chariot with mine and then growing my archer yet more scary...

Math is coming in, libraries are going to be chopped or whipped online shortly, so...time for #4. The capital is longing for more happiness, but cottaging the riverside plains and sharing out the foods will make it a little less painfully tumescent. Still very eager to grow here.
...thing is, there are only so many workers and settlers I need, so scientists are decidedly called for. I'm not aiming for the Oracle, but dangit, I might need to chop it in if people keep taking this long. Useless Boartit is the most egregious example of "food and naught else" here in Rusticia.
Meanwhile, barbs are still raging, and giving yummy experience. Dogs continue to rock face, and this area is getting stoned ASAP.
