Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

[Spoilers] I have enough games already. Oh look, a PBEM !

Now that's interesting ! A detour for AH could make sense for the happiness. Masonry only if we want a wonder. Like the pyramids to work scientists ?

Wow, Brick's some generous guy.
Now we have to assume everybody else also got stone (or marble) so it's not like we got a secure shot. Pyramids is good, but so expensive that it doesn't get interesting before t50 (quick speed) or so. Does GLH also get a stone bonus? Also the bonus is just 50% here.
Pros for mids:
- lots of food means we can sustain specialists (way better than in pbem65), and with cheap libraries we'll have the slots early
- also we have a lot of growth potential, so rep happiness would come handy. Do you think HR happiness generally exceeds Rep's? In my experience you generally don't have the units to give every relevant city 5mp (at least not early on) but that might be my insufficiency as a player
Cons:
- Fin doesn't love to work specialists,. The wonder for that trait is Colossus.
Btw did you notice that Sian has Stonehenge basically secured by everybody else being Cre?

Scout w of the cow next? Could also be a valid second city, although there's some point in getting that flood plains running asap. It hurts a bit being Fin, but we're still coaching those, righ? I do see two of the cap's riverside grasslands getting watermills though, especially if we go for MC reasonably early.
Border pop will give us some nice vision from the peak, so I think about W/S for now

Oh yes sorry I forgot to include a post-border pop picture :

I'm thinking that a city where the scout is right now wouldn't be too bad. Work the cow then cottage the FP.

Gold !

It's pretty far away though. Going 2W next turn.

Well, with Cre the distance shouldn't be the problem, but as it stands we can't get gold and food into one city, and I guess just the FP is too slow for a 2nd city...

Maybe scout 1w1nw, to see if a plant w of the cow is an option?

Also good that the gold is non-riverside smile (a river would actually be a penalty for us in that case, whereas for cottages it's just not an improvement)

I thought about 1W1NW but I want to see if there's something in the water. And yeah a second city in the desert with literally only 4 FP a desert stone and a desert hill gold is crap.

I'm not particularly happy that the gold isn't riverside. With a river it gives +1c, and without one it also gives +1c because of fin. The only good side is that with less rivers we reduce our desire for construction. Actually that's not even a good thing given we're cre with a collosseum UB and have ivory...

Yep, that was nonsense on my part.

I'm confident we'll find food E of the gold, bit that can wait. Certainly not our 2nd city site

Btw if we want AH reasonably soon, and Pottery is not super urgent, maybe it's worthwhile to research Agri for the 2 prereq bonuses? We certainly should find some grains to farm at some point in the game...

Couldn't find any resources this turn so no grain in our surroundings yet.
