[Spoiler] Sian is On the Road again

Heh, maybe so. OTOH I'm now dangerously behind in tech with little chance of catching up because of the lost infrastructure investment. I predict picklepikkl Tanks with air support will be the doom of this civ.

Seriously though, this game would be over in a half-dozen turns if Jowy had declared on Greenline in force before we had the Peace signed. Most un-Jowy! crazyeye

It's been a quiet few turns of Peace; teched Education and am putting up Universities in the vain hope of remaining somewhat competitive, while Workers are terraforming the land into a wasteland of Workshops - no paving over improvements just yet though, since there are so many bare tiles to improve first.

And then this happened:

(nice natural spread BTW!)

It's 2t to the expiry of the Picklepeace and 7/8t left on Greenline's treaty, so obviously now I can't take advantage of those 5t to hit picklepikkl without risk of 2way and losing the 80gpt that's coming from the Greenline Peace deal.

OTOH, it does mean that I can be at war with Greenline before he "expects" it. If, for example I spotted a ripe target for a Commando raid mischief

If only I had some way of producing Commandoes:

I'm guessing that Sian added the GGs as part of a plan to use this as a Drafting station, but during the Peacetime I've taken the opportunity to regrow the city and now it seems silly not to convert for Commando use. With the 2 Settled GGs it's still 4xp short of popping Commandoes without assistance. I've got 1GG in hand, but am quite a way away from getting the next; of course civics are an option, but there I'm only at 1/3 of the needed GPs.

I'm keeping this guy in hand since if I get 5 Cavs with 13xp, that will work out; or I could go with just 2 of 7xp or 3 of 10xp if I can dig them out. Of course I also need to grab MilStrat tech - preferably without revealing that via espionage - so there's a bit more planning involved, but in principle I could declare on pickle solely to trigger war with Greenline and make a premptive strike on some soft underbelly.

Which begs the (serious) question, how much Kingmaking is too much in this game?

Greenline seems to have decided it's time to protect from Commandos:

His Worker stack has relocated as well.

That's a low-ish odds Prophet to add to the Artist I already have in hand. Need a 3rd for a GA, and the fastest I can get one is 10t. At least it's guaranteed to be neither. I have fallen well behind on tech and further on Prod (they have Factories), but I can probably inflict some hurt on the first one who hits me, which might give 2nd place to the other. I doubt now that I will attack out unless I see an unmissable opportunity.

Wait, wasn't the map supposed to stop global warming from happening?

Limit, not fully stop. Factories in a tightly packed map can't be held off forever...

It wouldn't hurt as much if they were my Factories... lol

And it's War again:

That's the stack outside Hobbes highlighted; there's a larger stack of Inf/Cann outside Death, and a third of just Infantry coming down the hub connector. Cavs have hung back for now.

Well, the Southern stack is closest to a city, so I guess we'll hit that one...

3 Cannon & ~4 Cats took the top off the stack, then the C1/Pinch Cavs went in at 75-84% odds. Cleaned up with a couple of the city's Rifles.

Moved a few more Rifles N to support Maimonides and promoted a pair of Cats to Cannon (painfully expensive, but I think needed). Here's the Northern stack:

Greenline hasn't moved in ... yet:

I'll see if picklepikkl will give me a Peace Treaty before he wars himself out of contention for 2nd:
