Wasn't expecting that tbh.
Probably chop city walls at Ponce de Leon. I'll use the last charge on the builder to chop the forest on the truffles if I have to. Afterwards build galleys.

Time to build up. Then I'll have to get out two more settlers.
Chop the city walls out then build two galleys (for the eureka mainly...can't go toe to toe with Japan in the water).
Cortes builds a trader next. I need a builder afterwards but I'll build archers until I can swap policy cards. Upgrade the last slinger in two turns.
Honestly, I don't see how razing Pizarro helps oledavy directly. Yes, it hurts a competitor but Singaboy is well on his way to a blowout. He already has an empire score of fifty (which is the most important metric). I was only somewhat keeping up. Now, no one is...and that doesn't bode well for a long game. What a shame.

Well, that is unfortunate news about Pizarro.
I wanted to say that I do appreciate that you are updating regularly, thanks for that and keep a good work!

Need the Great Scientist points. Also builders.
Cordoba needs to start growing. Builder will be sent over as soon as possible.
Ponce de Leon builds a galley>builder>campus project for one turn>galley>campus projects.
Cortes finishes the trader>two builders>re-evaluate.
I also got the eureka for Engineering.

My motivation has been lacking recently. First it was realizing (with the change to settler cost) how much damage I sustained losing Pizarro. Then seeing how far behind I am now (last place) and of course the hurricane that hit where I live (only lost my car so not too bad - especially since many lost their homes AND cars.) Anyway, finally had some good news...
I am going to re-found Pizarro (but will call it de Soto). I have a builder with two charges that is in position and will chop city walls on founding then start a campus district.
Ponce de Leon and Cortes will build Horsemen (offense) and then some more archers (defense). I probably will keep Jerusalem but the other city state (can't remember the name but the suzerain gets to build colossal heads) will get razed. There has to be consequences for the loss of Pizarro.
When I can, I'll try to get out a settler for the spot southwest of Cordoba.

Nice job on landing the Great Scientist and sorry to hear about your car.
I hope to read more of your reports and hopefully you can fight your way back into the game!

We're on pause now for a few days. War is indeed coming. I have a Viking long ship pillaging coastal tiles that will be dealt with and a strike force that needs to be built. So expect more reports. I doubt I can get back into the game but I can at least exact revenge. Blood for the lurker god.

Moving along...
Need to build city walls first and still need one more builder.
Probably go straight for Stirrups after Engineering. I am going to build a catapult and park it inside the encampment that Ponce de Leon will build after the builder completes. Cortes might squeeze in a campus district but other than that, will build a battering ram, many horseman, and many heavy chariots for upgrading into knights. Going to need a lot of gold.
