5) Nightkills. I think they're more likely to be getting blocked than they are to not exist. Of claimed abilities, all (unless I'm missing a 3rd claim somewhere) involve protection. That both provides an explanation of why there's a lack of deaths, and indicates that kills should be possible unless Bob is just throwing red herrings at us (possible, but hopefully not).

...which could be half a protective role if he's redirecting everything *to* me, actually. Depends on if his role counts as targetting the recipient, or just the person he's redirecting.

You'll probably be awake and responding in a sec but Gazglum would like to hear a slight specific about whether you are hearing/redirecting all the 'nighttime post' or just doing one of Matt's suggestions.

In terms of 'visiting' or having it count as an effect, I apparently have both targets. I pick a player to redirect, I pick a player to redirect to. The effect is cancelled by anyone's active or passive defenses. So I wasn't able to redirect players to you, Mattimeo, because (assuming you self-protected) your night action immunity would cancel the whole thing.

In an apparently failed attempt to maximise entertainment and minimise risk I've been using it to send my top scum read to my second scum read. Night 1 I sent Novice to visit Fenn. I guess he didn't like what he found there. Night 2 I sent Rowain to visit Novice.

And Shadeun, the village postal service has delivered over 85% of orders correctly, and on time. In a time of civil war, we are proud of that achievement. If your own night actions have gone wrong, it is someone else's fault.

My town list is short. Pindicator reads genuine for me. Shadeun was leaning town, though with a question mark on his avoiding the Fenn vote. Mattimeo and Dtay wouldn't surprise me either way. And as Jabbz was apparently genuinely out of action for three days, I guess I put him back to neutral as well.

I think a 3/3/3/3/1 setup is possible here, or a 4/4/4/2. In which case I think the 'village faction' is Pindicator, me, and then one or two of Shadeun, Matt, Dtay and Jabbz.

Interesting that you didn't claim yesterday when you had to fight for your life but do it today without any pressure.

Yesterday I didn't feel in any danger until Agnes tackled me at deadline, and I think countering her crappy attacks was a better defense than claiming my role which doesn't particularly help town, or scum, or anybody. I claimed today because Pindicator was reaching out and I wanted to show him some trust.

Also, I don't think Pindicator was advocating no lynch to buy time for cultists, I think he was hoping that it would end the game in a group victory. I guess that its true though the game rules clearly state a traditional win condition, so maybe the no-lynch is a utopian dream. If we did it, like the WWI Christmas Truce, and then the game just kept going, with village further behind, then I would lose a lot of enthusiasm for playing on.

Meanwhile, to my mind Novice and Rowain have effectively admitted to being scum. Novice quotes the long list of Rowain's questions and responds with 'lets just no lynch'. He is kicking back into trollville, and good for him. I have not stopped bothering but simply had no time to really sit down and write a post before.

Gazglum you just conceded that it might be 4/4/4/1 in which case piling onto a claimed townie seems the best play for scum doesn't it?

Besides you realise that in such a setup the town instant-lose if one of the 2 scumteams is wiped out?
