Where is Hong Kong and the northern city state in relation to Camorr and Pasture Sea?

No, that is the peculiar thing, the meet did not happen.

I think both parties need vision not one.

About 10 hexes up from Camorr. The thing is though that the terrain is crap on both mil CS.

I guess the one downside to attacking Hong Kong is that it'd position the military at the other end of our territory from Sumeria with quite a bit of jungle/forest between the two.....

With the exception of Hongkong, all those CS positions are underwhelming in yields and a nightmare to defend.

I am really unsure if I want to go with my chariot rush plan, well except for Hongkong that is.

Especially Granada is an invitation for an attack by Sumeria.

Expansion wise, I will probably go with the north end of the river, with stone and forests, this is a decent chopping, harvesting site, usuable by Magnus.

The fact that the city states are dry makes me wonder how much fresh water will be on this map...might make city placement interesting, though the audience chamber and a governor would leg a dry city get to pop 4 reasonably fast.

One other note....the Firaxis watchers at CFC are expecting the 30 day patch to drop today.

Well, I wouldn´t hold my breath.

Clearly CS defense and Polder availability are the major balance issues of our time.

Well, I definetly have contacted more then my fair share of CS.

The south I get, the north is definetly puzzling. Rowain probably scouted West. But I have yet to encounter anyone or Kabul for that matter in the North.

What is my northern neighbour doing?

Definetly first to rush material!

   

Zanzibar. An awesome state to keep around.

Coupled with Granada´s bad position and Sumeria south, I think I will not rush the southern CS.

The north is another matter. Thanks to Torres, I will definetly go for northern real estate.

Regarding our neighbors' scouting I think there are three possible reasons why we haven't seen them...

- they went west because that's where the warrior starts.
- they went west figuring they were in the corner similar to PBEM 6.

- they may be hugging the coast with their scouting.

Yeah, some weird scouting decisions must be happening. Well, Sumeria probably built a warcart and is not scouting with it.

What our northern neighbour does? Probably:  

And yeah, that scout dies next turn but he cost me 2 turns of worker movement!
