Sooooo how has some fighters on intercept. Well ... when I say 'has' I really mean had - see below. More bombing, less food, less commerce. I even ran out of bombing targets and had to run some at units - a bit of a waste of time, really.

Biology from Dreylin so my farms are now +1f ... some cities that were maxed out start to grow.

I'll take a 4-1 ratio any turn.

I went back and looked at the combat logs to see the airbattles ... nope, not shown. The last battle was my cavelry against mh scout. Only took two shows at 50 hit points per hit to kill the scout - ouch.

it annoyed me that you still had oil ... even after I took out both of your wells
it was also a pain that you could build railroads without coal

Looking at the vid reports in pitboss 2, I might do one of those. Let you guys see exactly what I see. Or I could just record myself playing a turn ... or both.

I think I made a mistake by running those 3 fighters against units last turn. I should have put them on intercept. Guess I will find out tonight if Sooooo has bombed any of my forts away. I should also move my MGs up to my Western forts to provide some form of protection there.

Edit: This is the software (CamStudio) that I used with my rivers vid. I'll be using this again. I also found some very funky text to voice web sites but I'll just be narrating it myself. Its amazing the range of skills that I have had to pick up just to play Civ4 (web design, construction, audit recording, moving making, spelling, sentence construction (still working on these last two), etc, etc).

I did say that I was going to post a vid report for this turn. I did it, with voice over but it is very choppy. I'll try another piece of software tomorrow and see how we go.

Anyway, more bombing, more fighter intercepts. Sooooo started the turn with 7 fighters and ended the turn with 5, only 1 of which will be on intercept duty next turn.

The big news is that he swapped tech from Radio to Rocketry. As I mentioned above, I think that this move is a defensive move. He can stop me hitting him, but he cannot hit me.

I reviewed Dreylin's resource holdings and found 3 extra health resources that he had - I asked for his spares.

Seems I cannot read my trade screen correctly - I already had those 3 extra health ... need to check on screen if I have a copy. I popped a gems at Ailia Coila (one of my pure military sites) - iron (or copper, coal) would have been nicer but I won't say NO to gems.

We both lost a fighter this turn - he is down to 5, I have 15 or so. More bombing runs on Sooooo's farm yards, mines and the like. He has double promoted some anti-tank units with intercept in an attempt to stop the destruction.

I did some scaling back on hammers in Death Valley (building a Christian Temple) because I was getting massive overflow and noticed that it brought Radio down to 4 . Will have to try and keep it there.

Temple in DV because I lost use of one of my forts due to Sparta's borders expanding. DVs expand in 2 so I should be able to reclaim it. I'll put in the +50% culture Christian building to help.

You are kidding aren't you? Did I leave my EPs against you in the game that I sent? I was recording a vid for the lurkers (not posted because the quality was too choppy) and illustrating possible EP spend against various people.

Truthfully - I meant to run them against him so that TOG had less information about what I was doing. It also might mean that he has to spend EPs against me that he cannot use against Dreylin.

Pardon me, if that raises an eyebrow or two on my side, especially since you kept up the EP spending against me at full power this turn as well.

Oh @#$%$ - The last turn, I replayed the beginning a few times as I kept on stuffing up the diplo trade with Dreylin about the sheep, crabs and rice. First time through, I reset the EPs. Others, I forgot .

The second turn was a totally stupid mistake. I could have fibbed my way through 1 turn - but not 2 in a row. Guess I will just manually provide the information to him every now and then.

Dam - did I? I kept on stuffing up some diplo trade requests with Dreylin and replaying that part of the turn. First time through I did reset the EP - I swear - it was the very first thing that I did ... even before checking the log. But I suppose that there is no reason that you will ever believe me. I'll run them against myself for a turn or two if I could.

All I can claim is that I am a total idiot. Look at it from my point of view ... that is 160ish EPs that I cannot use against Sooooo - a total waste. Let me tell you what you would have seen ... Radio (3). Have you lost my demographics?

well, in the end it does not matter. I believe that with you and Dreylin being up by Radio and Industrialism (I assume Dreylin is doing that, right now? Hoping tanks can do, what his INf couldn't?), our days are numbered.
Whatever you research after that, is irrelevant, in the sense, that I can't possibly conceive of a good counter, if I knew your research. (Was that clear???)

My thoughts were, that I would have been fine, with you saying, "that's it, deal cancelled" if you were going to spend EPs on me with purpose.
And I was (am) assuming that you would help out Dreylin with spy actions against me.
My reply is, that the longer I hold out against Dreylin, the better your chances in the endgame, no?

Anyway.
But why would you do a video about EP spendings??? That is so "unbelievable" it must be true, nobody would spin such a story to justify a broken deal.

That made me laugh. I haven't got time to slep a spy all the way over to your land ... if I did, she would be heading to your exposed oil so that I can stop Sooooo using it. But you would only rebuild it so there isn't any point.

Re holding off Dreylin - please please do your very best. My only chance of winning this game is to take down Sooooo as quickly as possible (and he has promised to make my progress very painful) and then win the race to Space.
